One-for-all from Britton Bathrooms

A good looking, competitively priced contemporary bathroom collection comes high on every bathroom retailer's wish list - but all too often design detail is sacrificed for the sake of price. This certainly isn't the case with the new Britton Bathrooms range from The Bathroom Brands Group.

A true one stop source, this exciting new brand includes four sanitaryware designs, furniture, brassware and accessories supported by an easy to use consumer brochure and website, both packed with appealing lifestyle photography and the backing of one of Europe's biggest bathroom companies.

Cube S20, Curve S30, Fine S40 and Tall S48 are the four ranges in the collection. Common sizing throughout means that pieces can be mixed and matched with ease. Basins come in pedestal and wall hung options and in formats for use with furniture and in cloakrooms. There's a choice of WCs, smart modern furniture in four colour options, two tap ranges with eight fittings in each one and ceramic accessories to complete the picture. Design touches that make the difference include sleek towel rails that fit neatly into the recess under the basin skirt and chrome overflow rings.

Featuring elegant flared lines and a deep, tapered basin shape, Fine S40 has a look that you would really expect to find at a much higher price. This range illustrates the quality and craftsmanship that has gone into the production of this versatile collection. Vitreous china is a volatile material - for technical reasons it is very difficult to produce pieces like the deep, tapered basin that is the key design theme of the Fine collection.

"The Fine range is a winner with its chiselled look and depth of basin - very hard to achieve in ceramic manufacturing," comments Bathroom Brands' Darren Allison. "The one piece WC adds to the designer look and is a real tribute to the quality of manufacturing that produced this collection."

The one piece WC has a sleek cistern which is designed without a separate lid, giving a clean, minimalistic look. All three WC pans in the range feature Nanoglaze, an anti-bacterial coating that also makes the pan very easy to clean. The 2.5/4 litre flush cistern helps to save water - but recognising that in some products the reduced flush does not always clear the pan completely - leading to a second flush that wastes water - the pan exit is positioned to help to speed soil on its way. This thoughtful detail adds to the quality and appeal of the Britton Bathrooms range.

Inclusive design is important to every bathroom manufacturer. Recognising that we are all getting taller, Britton Bathrooms has made the basin and WC in the Tall range 6cm higher than standard. This also introduces an important comfort factor for older people - a 48cm high WC is much easier to use than one at 42cm for anyone with creaky knees and a taller basin avoids the need to stoop.
