Director of Brand, Marketing & Culture of London Olympics to headline this year's Bathroom Conference

* Olympics-brand-director.jpgThe multi award winning Bathroom Manufacturers Association has announced that Greg Nugent, Director of Brand, Marketing & Culture for the London Olympics and Paralympics, will headline the Bathroom Business Conference 2013.

Greg was the man responsible for everything from customer relationships to the look of the Games. He built a database of 5.5 million, turned volunteers into Gamesmakers and coined the phrase 'Inspiring a Generation'.

In his Keynote presentation to this year's conference on 8th October at Carden Park in Cheshire, Greg will draw lessons from this once-in-a-lifetime event that apply to any brand or business, of any size or type. They range from the importance of planning, training and defining a vision, to developing a customer experience and involving everyone in the challenges faced by the organisation.

He will relate his message to the conference theme - Knowing Your Customer | Knowing You - and includes stirring footage from London 2012.

"We are absolutely thrilled to secure Greg Nugent as our Key Note Speaker," enthuses Yvonne Orgill, the BMA's CEO. "This year's Bathroom Conference is set to be another inspiring and stimulating event.

"Conference, which is open to all in the bathroom and kitchen industry, has a growing reputation for looking outside the box, pushing boundaries and motivating step change in the industry's culture. In recent years we have delved into subjects as diverse as Customer Service, Sustainability and the Changing High Street. This year we will examine and debate who actually is 'The Customer'."

The Bathroom Business Conference, Gala Dinner, Entertainment, Media Awards and Members' Fringe returns to Carden Park in Cheshire, home for two previous conferences.

As last year over 200 delegates are expected to attend the main conference day on 8th October. The members' fringe workshops, general council meeting and charity golf tournament (which raises money for Water Aid) and members networking dinner will be held on 7th October.

Bookings are now being taken and costs are the same as last year.

The Bathroom Manufacturers Association, organiser of The Bathroom Business Conference, is based at Keele's Innovation Centre. It is the trade association for bathroom manufacturers operating in the UK. It is the principal 'Voice of the Bathroom Industry' and acts as an information highway between industry, government and the consumer on issues that affect the bathroom business.

The BMA represents, through its technical, marketing and management committees, the interests of over 60 major bathroom manufacturing groups and service providers with almost 90 well-known brands in the market place. The manufacturing base directly employs 10,000+ people across almost 80 sites around the UK.
