"Not just browsing" on the InSinkErator stand

* InSinkErator-cutaway.jpg"Kbb Birmingham has been an extremely positive show for InSinkErator," said Richard Andrews, the company's Key Account Manager. "We were showcasing our latest range of M Series food waste disposers and steaming hot taps, and have sold stock into kitchen businesses."

"There have been a good number of visitors and more importantly they weren't just browsing, they were genuinely very interested in product and doing business. The exhibition has given us four very good selling days, a chance to see more people than usual, and it has turned out to be a thoroughly worthwhile event for InSinkErator."

* Insinkerator_65_Plus.jpgThe new M Series range of food waste disposers is ideal for growing households and affords first time buyers the opportunity to own a disposer. "The range has been designed with them in mind, at a competitive price," said Richard.

The M Series consists of three new entry-level disposers, which feature improved grind technology and performance to handle a wide variety of food. The top-of-the-range 65+ has been created for the growing family and home entertainer. It offers high performance and can handle large amounts of food waste. The 55+ is perfect for smaller households while the 45+ model is suitable for the first-time buyer and is ideal for lighter use.

Each model is compact enough to fit discreetly under the sink without taking up valuable storage space. In addition to the improved performance, the new models feature the power cords, air switch and overload switch on the side of the product, for easier installation and convenient access.

A food waste disposer allows food waste to be dealt with hygienically and reduces odour and bacteria. It also improves space in the kitchen as it eliminates a refuse bin, as well as regular trips to the dustbin. The disposer grinds food into tiny particles which are simply flushed away down the drain - once at the waste water treatment centre the food waste can be converted into a soil conditioner or biogas for use as a power source.

Ashley Munden, Managing Director, Europe, for InSinkErator, said: "A food waste disposer is a must-have product for the modern kitchen as it provides the homeowner with an environmentally-responsible answer to their food waste, which accounts for 20% of a household's total waste. They eliminate food waste quickly, simply and safely, without the use of blades."

The company was also showing its popular range of Steaming Hot Water Taps, which can deliver 98 degree centigrade, filtered, hot water or cold water on demand while reducing scale, chlorine, lead turbidity and other unpleasant tastes and odours. They boast a space-saving tank which sits under the worktop and can produce up to 100 cups of 98 degrees C steaming hot water per hour. "If you typically use 10 cups of hot water per day from your kettle, an InSinkErator hot tap is approximately 20% more energy efficient than a kettle," explained the team.
