Hafele announces winner of national trade competition
A carpenter from Herefordshire is celebrating success after winning £5,000 in a competition with home solutions specialists, Hafele UK.
Jon Swain was presented with his cheque for £5,000 this week, after being randomly picked as the lucky winner in the 'How do you say Hafele?' competition. The competition saw over 300 entrants submit a video clip of themselves to the Hafele UK Facebook page saying: "This is how I say Hafele," for their chance to win a number of prizes, including 50 Festool CXS drills, Hafele t-shirts for every entry, and a top prize of £5,000.
"I couldn't believe it at first when I was told I had won," exclaims Jon. "I was so taken aback that I thought it couldn't be true! But when I realised it was the real-deal I thought; wow!
"I've been using Hafele products for a number of years for various projects but it was my Dad who told me about the competition, so I thought I'd give it a go.
"I'm going to spend the money on a new van for my business, JWS Building. Getting around to jobs is essential for me and I'm over the moon to have won, it really means a lot to me."
The 'How do you say Hafele?' competition looked to increase brand awareness with trade professionals across the UK, highlighting the range of over 25,000 products and showcasing the specialist's three ways to shop; at a Hafele Trade Partner, online and on the phone.
Jodie Garrett, Business Development Manager for Hafele UK, says: "Hafele has been providing innovative product solutions for over 90 years so we felt it was time that the trade's best kept secret had the exposure it deserved. Our competition has really got people talking about Hafele and we were happy to see that Jon will be using the money to support the growth of his business."
