Abacus brings catwalk glamour to Bathe's bathroom showroom

* ABACUS-Catwalk.jpgKeen to offer exclusive high end products within the company's newly extended showroom in the centre of Wigan, Greater Manchester, bathroom retailer, Bathe, turned to Abacus Manufacturing Goup to become a Ben de Lisi dealer and, in turn, create an outstanding display of room sets to allow customers to be inspired by the designer's bathroom range.

Bathe has had a long-term relationship with Abacus and already has an extensive display of the company's Vessini range on the showroom's ground floor.

As a Ben de Lisi dealer, it was essential to create a high impact and luxurious display and, with this in mind, some 50sq.m of the new first floor showroom was designated for room sets with further circulation space around the perimeter.

Abacus Manufacturing Group's design team is well used to creating impressive showroom displays and suggesting the products that will work well together. With a blank canvas to work to, the design at Bathe evolved over a period of time and careful thought was given to creating displays that would show off the sanitaryware, baths, shower screens, towel rails, radiators and furniture from the Ben de Lisi range in a way that would best inspire customers.

A team of fitters from Abacus then built the entire display, which includes six complete and luxurious bathroom sets along with other smaller sets that show off WCs, basins and showers, using rich details and materials to striking effect.

"Working with the Abacus team was very much a collaborative process," reveals David Claeys, general manager of Bathe. "The Ben de Lisi range, in conjunction with the rest of the offer from Abacus, means we can provide a complete bathroom package within the showroom which is a service that very few other people can offer. Consequently, instead of dealing with six or seven suppliers to complete a project, you're getting a one- stop shop as well as an exclusive high end product."

Ben de Lisi is a prolific fashion designer. He designed the knock-out red Oscar dress that marked Kate Winslet's transformation into a Hollywood glamour queen as well as designing clothes for stars including Liz Hurley, Rachel Weisz and Jemima Khan, to name but a few. He teamed up with Abacus Manufacturing Group back in 2005 to develop his own range of exclusive products that offer the very latest in bold, contemporary bathroom design.
