Corner now comes from Häfele with Shelf Bases in Wood or Glass
Häfele's
Vario Corner is now available with base panels in white-finished wood
laminate and also glass.
This is the mechanism for maximising storage capacity in awkward corner
cabinets and which has remained a best seller, according to Ray Fisher,
for the past ten years.
Instead of being secured inside the fabric of the cabinet, the chrome
wire storage bins and trays are mounted on roller slides with a strut
to the inside of the cabinet fascia.
As the door is opened, the wire storage units are drawn, first in one
axis and then another, into a position of easy access by the user.
Häfele's German supplier has improved and refined the design and
structural qualities of the Vario Corner throughout its market life, Ray
Fisher reports.
And now shelf base finish options have been extended to include glass
or white finished laminate - a smart new look that will further extend
the life and popularity of the product almost indefinitely, he adds.

Contemporary
handles under the name of Eureka first came from the Italian company of
the same name 20 years ago when the factory was established in the town
of Gorgo al Monticano, near Venice. Häfele
is UK distributor for the aluminium processing plant that specialises
in handles, knobs, shelf brackets and decorative extrusions for cabinet
furniture and is currently experimenting
with blends of complementary metals and finishes.
A portfolio of about 1,000 handle designs in zinc alloy brings together
a range of effects including stainless steel with chrome, aluminium with
colours and matt and satin nickel. Designs are contemporary, sleek and
stylish enough to meet the needs of a broad cross section of today's modern
furniture makers.
In addition to their own collection of product designs, Eureka will also
rise to the needs or aspirations of individual customers. The prototyping
lab prides itself on its ability to produce highly finished samples from
customers' own designs, however formal - or not - they may be.
‘Everyone wants something different,’ says Steve Davies, decorative
hardware products manager at Häfele, ‘and preferably something
that sets their new furniture designs apart from the competition. The
Eureka prototyping lab will turn new product ideas around as well finished
samples within 24 to 48 hours, which is mighty impressive - especially

Häfele
has introduced a new range of aluminium profile handles for makers of
slab doors for cabinet furniture across the domestic spectrum.
In matt and polished aluminium, profile shapes range from a single flush
aluminium capping strip of 18mm in width, through finger pull channels
of 20.8mm to shaped handle profiles designed for additional grip to open
doors or drawers or for siting between doors and worktops.
Lengths of six fixed dimension profiles offered range from 146mm to 996mm
and a continuous aluminium profile shape for wall units or for tall cabinets
also comes by the metre. A single length is 3.9 metres.
Each of the six fixed dimension profiles is designed for panel edge insertion
