KBB 2006 provided the launch pad for a new image for Gelson, the professional and contract Croydex brand, enhancing its scope by adding products to appeal to consumers who visit merchant showrooms as well as making life easier for hotels, installers and merchants.

Gelson Bathroom Furniture - launch collection:
Aluminium is increasingly the choice of those looking for modern minimalist style, but price can place it out of reach of those working to a tight budget. Lumos Aluminium Cabinets combine cool, clean aluminium with smooth, sleek glass at competitive prices, starting at just £295. There’s a range of sizes, each with two doors, mirrored interior, adjustable glass shelves and a spacious storage area. Shower Curtains and Textile Mats – launch collection:
For powerful shower performance, Gelson introduces a range of heavyweight Cotton Waffle Curtains with durable water-resistant waterproof liner in a choice of Snow White, Clotted Cream, Duck Egg Blue and Caffé Latte. Suitable for domestic or hotel use, these machine washable 180 x 180cm curtains feature an anti-cling weighted hem for extra comfort, as well as rust-resistant eyelets.

New Table Legs from Prefit

Competitively priced, high quality table legs in chrome and satin nickel finishes for supporting worktops, table tops, desks and bar units are now being supplied by Prefit, specialist in fittings for glass.

Clean Up with PWS

Washing up liquid, fabric conditioner, multi-surface cleaners, bleach, furniture polish, never has there been such a myriad of cleaning products to store in the kitchen. So to keep everything in order, PWS has introduced a range of cleaning utensil baskets.

Junior Sliding Door and Partition Systems from Häfele Now Carry Laminated Glass

The Junior GP sliding door and partitioning system from Häfele has been upgraded for use in conjunction with laminated glass for added safety in both domestic and contract applications.

The Junior GP system is by Swiss architectural glass engineers Hawa, for whom Häfele is exclusive UK distributors, and addresses the need for dividing living spaces already limited in size to best advantage. Applications include separating linear-style kitchens, such as in flats or apartments, from living areas and difficult or restricted bathroom spaces from bedrooms - all while maximising natural light travelling between them.

Provenly reliable over five years in the field, the weight carrying capacity for individual Junior GP panels has been increased to 160 Kgs - Hawa says that glazing panels cannot slip. Sliding hardware now carries laminated glass panels to a maximum thickness of 12.7mm - each is bonded flush with the hardware for a neat and smooth visual as well as touch-friendly finish.

A lower maximum operating height allows top tracking to be fixed to ceilings or, for added installation flexibility, a wall fixing profile rail can also be used.
