Deva has much to celebrate!

Leading tap and shower manufacturer Deva has much to celebrate, having just gained the International Standard for Environmental Management, ISO14001 and two Waterwise Marques.

The company won the ISO14001 accreditation, (itsits alongside Deva’s ISO9001 award, held since 1995) which covers the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption, after minimising the impact of the business on the environment and implementing practices to reduce all waste.

“We recognise that sound business management must take into account the effects of its operations on the environment and we are totally committed to following environmental best practice," explains Deva managing director Rob Pryde. "That commitment extends to product development and we continue to drive innovation for water saving products including the award winning Satinjet range and the new Enviro-Klick.”

TheWaterwise Marques were awarded to the Satinjet Kiri showerhead and the new Enviro-Klick cartridge, in recognition of their outstanding water saving capabilities.

Part of the extensive Satinjet range, Kiri features Twin-Jet Technology and saves up to 40% on water and energy with every shower taken. The slender design and tamperproof, contemporary, slate-coloured faceplate makes Kiri particularly suitable for all non-domestic situations.

The Satinjet range, which comprises eight different designs including the brand new Tahi, is well-known not only for its water saving capabilities, but also for striking design, high quality performance and the comprehensive lifetime guarantee.

The Enviro-Klick cartridge has three settings - off, reduced flow and full flow - and produces a smooth and precise, yet very subtle resistance to a change in mode when altered from reduced to full flow. On full flow, Enviro-Klick delivers 4% less water than a standard tap cartridge and 80% less on reduced flow, dramatically cutting water and energy use, resulting in what are thought to be the greatest savings of all similar technology currently available.

Enviro-Klick is currently available in three Deva ranges: Excel and Revelle from the Contemporary Collection, and Eider from the Everyday Collection.

Claire Stokes, sales & marketing manager at Deva, comments: “Our Satinjet showerheads and Enviro-Klick cartridge are amongst the best water saving products available and they are well deserving of the Waterwise Marque.

“As an ISO14001 accredited company we are committed to minimising our own environmental impact and as a pioneer of water saving technology we are dedicated to helping our customers achieve the highest standards of compliance, whilst offering the end user products that deliver on design and performance.

“We invest continually in the research and development of innovative water saving technology and are committed to the expansion of our Earthwise Collection for all market sectors.”

Jacob Thompkins of Waterwise adds: “We are very pleased to be able to award two further Marques to Deva. The Marque is awarded to a limited number of unique products that not only demonstrate water efficiency but are also of high quality design, excellent performance and widely available on the UK market.”

To highlight the water saving benefits of Satinjet and Enviro-Klick, Deva will incorporate the Marque on product packaging, point-of-sale information, product catalogues, promotional literature and its website.

Deva now has a total of three Waterwise Marques including the 2008 Marque, which was awarded to the Satinjet Awatea range for the domestic market. The Waterwise Marques sit alongside a whole host of other awards including the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award, shared with the Apple iPod and Audi A6.
