& Rowe,
the British designer and manufacturer of luxury brassware, has newly extended
its collection of design from 'The Trademporary Collection'.
The
quirkily named collection, so-called because - according to brand namesake
Greg Rowe - the products are 'comfortably contemporary'; blending the
hallmarks of Perrin & Rowe's classic designs with a contemporary influence,
was launched in the UK just over a year ago. Then, as now, the Collection
was pitched at design-aware consumers, sourcing bathroom fittings that
were modern, yet not too modern and high-end commercial specifiers looking
for products that would offer longevity and durability.
Both target markets liked what they found, and the company says it seems
that whilst consumers are often happy to draw inspiration from ultra-contemporary
bathroom and wet-room 'fantasy' schemes, when it comes to purchasing their
own brassware, they would rather opt for fittings that - especially when
a reasonable amount of money is involved - will seem them through the
long term. Similarly, designers that specified brassware from The Trademporary
Collection wanted showers, taps and accessories that were 'softer' in
