Triton's
Ramor Strengthens Shower Tower Offer
Triton
has extended its popular range of shower towers with the introduction
of a new thermostatic model. The Ramor shower tower has been introduced
in-line with growing consumer demand for showers that enable them to recreate
the kind of bathroom looks they have seen in hotels and luxury health
resorts.
With an attractive aqua and chrome finish, key features of the Ramor include
a rub clean fixed showerhead with single spray pattern together with 3
separate body jets, each also featuring rub clean nozzles.
An additional handset with single spray pattern has also been built in
to the unit for flexibility of use.
A numbered temperature dial makes it easy to select the temperature, whilst
additional safety features include an adjustable maximum temperature stop
to prevent the temperature being accidentally turned up too high.
If either the hot or cold water supplies fail, the shower has an automatic
shut-down procedure to ensure safety at all times.
For extra flexibility, the shower's flow and diverter controls also make
it possible to direct water supply between the different spray heads,
depending upon the requirement.
Installing the new Ramor shower tower couldn't be easier. It is as straight
forward to fit as any other shower tower in the Triton collection. Simply
fit the unit to the wall using the two fixing brackets supplied and connect
to the hot and cold water supplies with the fittings provided.
Lorna Fellowes, Managing Director for Triton said:
Shower towers are growing in popularity and consumers are increasingly
specifying this kind of product for an enhanced and more luxurious showering
experience. Installers and merchants catering for this demand can profit
by link-selling shower tower units in conjunction with booster pumps to
offer consumers an altogether more powerful shower.

The
New Orca Tap from Franke
New
from Franke is the Orca spray tap,
which offers a modern look with a series of cutting edge-design elements.
The Orca tap is similar in design to the popular Dolphin tap but offers
a number of practical changes to the operation of the spray function.
New features include the spray head, which you hold as if you were holding
a computer mouse. This is a natural grip for many of us these days and
therefore makes the handling of the spray function more convenient.
The Orca spray tap also features a cut away spout, which enables the spray
head to be pulled out from the spout more easily than before. An ergonomic
switch, situated where your thumb grips the spray head, also alternates
the flow between normal and spray modes.
John Swain, product manager for Franke UK, commented: As more and
more people are opting for spray taps we have invested time in identifying
ways in which we can improve the handling of the spray head and we believe
the cut-away feature and the 'computer mouse' style design of the Orca
spray tap will make it easier to operate.
The Orca spray tap is also available without the spray function. Both
models are available in a choice of Chrome or SilkSteel.
Sleek
Sequential Style
Just
one of the new showering additions from Bristan
launched at KBB 2006, the new Prism sequential thermostatic shower has
a generous showerhead and diverter to hand-held spray.
Unlike many showers which operate with a separate valve or chunkier bar
valve construction, the controls for the Prism Sequential shower are neatly
in line with one another creating a more streamlined look.

Safety has been paramount in the creation of this new shower since it
is approved to stringent thermostatic standards ensuring that temperature
fluctuations remain within +/- 1°c of your selected temperature at
all times. A simple lever control operates flow and temperature making
it easier to use even for those with limited dexterity. What's more the
riser has an internal shroud so that the user cannot scald themselves
if they accidentally lean on the pipe.
Fliq
- A New Year Revolution
One of abode's New Year's Resolutions
for 2006 is to launch a number of forward thinking designs which will
be the start of a revolutionary new tap design and style for this young
and thrusting company. abode designers constantly lead the field in design
as they create more and more innovative concepts - 'a lead our competitors
can only follow' the company says.
One of the new, exciting designs is Fliq, a new concept in mixer taps
shown for the first time at KBB. Available from March, this unique design
has a sophisticated, tall swan neck and has been developed to use a completely
new ceramic disc valve.
The valve allows precise operation of the water flow through the simple
forwards and backwards movement of the unique hot and cold controls which
are both sited on the right side of the tap body.
The contemporary styled Fliq mixer tap operates at low pressure so owners
of all styles of homes can now install taps with a minimalist appearance.
The simplicity of the Fliq operation ensures it can also be easily used
by less abled people or those suffering with arthritis.
The Fliq mixer tap is available in both chrome and brushed steel finishes.

Beautifully
Neutral Zinia in Stone Grey
Hot
on the heels of the ZX Stone Grey sink launch from Carron
Phoenix comes the new Zinia tap in matching Stone Grey which
'strikes the balance between stylish neutrality and design simplicity'.
Developed with a colour prediction specialist, the colour evokes the warmth
of natural stone with a modern twist of metallic particles for an attractive
sheen.
It's the new colour addition to the highly popular Zinia tap range that
is already available in chrome, brushed steel and now six granite colours.
Zinia combines sweeping curves in the tap body with a long directionable
spout well suited to the practical needs of a bowl and half sink.
The joystick lever is a smooth operator with hot and cold water indicators.
Granite based taps offer an interesting alternative to metal finishes
and the new Zinia Stone Grey is designed to complement the contemporary
style ZX granite sink range. This gives the flexibility to design the
sink space with matching granite finishes on the sink and tap. Granite
is also a very hard wearing, easy to clean finish.

Bristan
Pumps up its Offer
Most
retailers will be familiar with Bristan's
portfolio of showers, but some many not be aware that Bristan also has
a comprehensive range of complementary shower pumps.
There
are 8 shower pumps available in total ranging from a single impeller pump
designed to boost the flow to a single outlet through to a 3-bar brass
pump with twin impellers for boosting water flow to a whole house or for
light commercial usage.
Recognising that one of the common complaints from consumers regarding
water pumps is often the noise that is generated, Bristan has introduced
two low voltage models. Often shower pumps are sited remotely from the
bathroom, in an airing cupboard or adjoining bedroom, which can cause
problems with noise when a shower is in use early in the morning. The
company says that this problem has been solved with the Low Voltage Water
Pump 70 and Low Voltage Water Pump 50 from Bristan. Not only can both
of these pumps be installed in the bathroom itself thanks to the fact
that they can operate on low voltage thereby complying with regulations,
they also have twin impeller with extra quiet motors for smooth operation.
The majority of Bristan shower pumps offer a variable boost function which
means that the level of the pump can be adjusted according to individual
needs - so if just a single shower is being run from a pump it can be
adjusted accordingly so that the flow levels are comfortable.
All Bristan pumps also come complete with flex connectors for easy installation
and are mounted on rubber feet to minimise vibration and noise.
Connect
Bath Screens with Ideal Standard
New
from Ideal Standard, Connect bath
screens offer a stylish and practical way to allow for luxurious baths
and invigorating showers within the same environment.
The
design of the Connect bath screens offers a range of shapes and sizes
to suit any bathroom needs.
All the Connect screens include an aluminium deflector bar, which provides
extra guard against splashing. This feature is particularly useful on
shaped baths where the straight line of the screen along the inner curves
of the bath can result in awkward gaps.
The Connect Chrome upgrade kit is an optional extra, offering an additional
touch of style and practicality in the form of a chrome plated handle
and aluminium seal. The handle keeps those fingerprints off the glass
and provides a better grip when operating. The seal incorporates Ideal
Standard's water deflector system which prevents water leakage.
The Connect shower screens are available in a number of options and sizes,
Connect 750 is designed for the smaller bath - Connect 900 is recommended
for the standard or larger baths with a 900mm width. The Connect 4 and
5 fold panel is a screen that folds back compactly against the wall, taking
up minimum space for when you decide to have a relaxing bath.
Pictured is the Connect Rialto bath screen that is made from 8mm of toughened
safety glass. This is available in clear glass with chromium-plated hinges,
priced at £299.72.
