Coram Launches 1,000mm Acora Bi-Fold Door Enclosure

Coram Showers has expanded its retail range, Acora, with the launch of a 1,000mm Bi-Fold Door enclosure, a new design that has been specially developed to combine this space saving enclosure with a larger, more luxurious showering area for the en-suite or family bathroom.

With demand growing for its already popular 800mm and 900mm Acora Bi-Fold Door designs, Coram developed the new 1,000mm size enclosure to make the best use of space in larger bathrooms. As with the existing Acora Bi-Fold enclosures, the 1,000mm Acora Bi-Fold Door enclosure is available for alcove and corner installations and can be quickly and easily installed to provide a luxurious showering area, which is both stylish and completely watertight.

Peter Dimeloe, managing director of Coram Showers, commented: ‘While many consumers would like to install a large, contemporary shower enclosure, bathroom sizes and features, such as doors, windows and sanitaryware can sometimes be restrictive. The new 1,000mm Acora Bi-Fold Door enclosure, however, combines the practicality of an inward opening door, with the luxurious design that the consumer is now looking for. In addition, its contemporary styling and high performance, watertight operation, make it the ideal solution for the modern bathroom.’

The new 1,000mm Acora Bi-Fold Door enclosure includes high performance design features, such as a gear-wheel folding mechanism, which ensures smooth opening and closing of the door, as well as cushioned, full-length magnetic closures along the top and bottom edges of the frame, providing complete watertightness and a quieter closing action.

The new 1,000mm Bi-Fold Door enclosure, as with the entire Acora range, is available in a plain glass and chrome frame finish. It can be installed with Coram's patent protected Acora standard shower tray or the new 60mm slimline tray, which is suitable for applications where plumbing can be recessed into the floor. The combination of the Acora Bi-Fold Door enclosure and standard or slimline shower tray is so effective at preventing leaks that Coram offers a Watertight Lifetime Guarantee.

Alongside the Acora Bi-Fold Door enclosure, the Acora range features five contemporary, watertight designs, including the Walk-in, Pentagon and Crescent enclosures, as well as the Frameless Hinged Door and the unique Bow Front Sliding Door designs. The range also includes a selection of completely leak free bath screens and a new collection of stylish, high performance wet room enclosures.

Coram Showers specialises in the design and manufacture of shower enclosures, shower pods, shower trays and bath screens. In addition to its new retail range, Acora, the company's current range includes the Premier and Optima ranges of shower enclosures, Waterguard Showertrays and a range of bath screens. Designed for fast and easy installation, as well as watertight performance, all Coram products are designed and manufactured at the company's Bridgnorth factory in Shropshire and enclosures are power shower tested to BS 6340 against leakage.

New Thesis Brassware from Roca

Roca says that its new Thesis brassware range offers a stylish tap series that combines functionality, water efficiency and cutting edge design.

Designed by Antonio Bullo, Thesis is all about the art of contrast. Combining rounded curves and clean straight lines, the overall block shape contrasts with the slender and slim line features that run through the range. Thesis also explores a new relationship with water. Moving on from the traditional cylindrical flow of water, Thesis offers a waterfall effect flow through a sleek curtain spout.

As with the majority of Roca's single lever mixers, Thesis is fitted with the Ecodisk cartridge which acts as a flow regulator and a temperature control system, allowing you to choose between reduced or full flow water. As you raise the handle you will reach a level of resistance, which will allow 50% of the permitted flow of water.

By lifting the lever the maximum flow of water will be achieved. This helps the environment by saving water and at the same time provides the customer with complete peace of mind by eliminating the chance of scalding. In addition to this, Thesis also includes an in-built flow regulator with a limit of 8 litres per minute for further water conservation.

Kinedo Brings a New Dimension to Showers

These days most people seem to prefer a shower rather than a bath. It’s quicker, more economical, it saves water and it’s invigorating, which is why Kinedo has developed a range of self-contained shower enclosures to fulfil virtually everyone’s aspirations.

The very latest enclosures can bring a touch of minimalist style and modern-day elegance to literally any suitable corner of a house which, of course, is totally feasible when they are installed in conjunction with one of Saniflo’s small-bore pumping systems.

They are designed with total flexibility in mind and some are just as at home in a wet room as they are in a conventional shower room. Many of them are silicone free which means there is no tedious, time-consuming, tiling and grouting and, consequently, they provide years of totally leak-free service. What’s more, they are much easier to keep sparkling clean because their CristalPlus coating helps prevent lime scale build up and preserve appearance.

One of the new designs is the Kinezen which comes in three attractive versions each with its own distinctive characteristics. For instance the Kinezen Corner is 900mm square and will sit snugly in a corner and has two sliding doors for access. The Kinezen Quadrant, pictured, is also ideal for a corner installation but has a larger 1120mm footprint with, as its name suggests, curved sliding doors.

The Kinezen Slider is equally at home flat against a wall or in a corner and has a 1130mm by 900mm base, one sliding panel and one fixed panel.

All three of these showers have a centrally positioned removable glass column, which can have a plain thermo valve shower or a factory-fitted hydro system. Each one has the additional convenience of adjustable glass toiletry shelves.

Sizes vary so there is always one to suit your space requirements, whether it’s straight against the wall, in a corner or tucked conveniently into an alcove. Kinedo shower enclosure designs add yet another new dimension to the convenience of showering.

In fact, you can get a Kinedo shower as compact as a telephone kiosk or as spacious as an entire cloakroom, all with ample height. They can have curved fronts with quadrant doors, telescopic pivot doors or conventional bi-fold doors, and many others besides.

But whatever suits your purpose, flexibility, quality and robustness are common themes running throughout the entire range. What’s more they can all accommodate whatever showering experience your purse will run to, from an *electric unit to a complete hydro-massage system.

You can find out more about Kinedo shower enclosures at http://www.kinedo.co.uk and the Saniflo products that can help add that extra touch of flexibility by visiting http://www.saniflo.co.uk. Or you could ask about both at your local builders merchant.

A Roman Wetroom Defence

Shower manufacturer Roman has launched Roman Shield, a new wetroom tanking kit which incorporates everything you need to tank a room from start to finish in one box.

Roman Shield is an easy to use tanking kit which contains everything needed to waterproof a 10m2 room in preparation for tiling. It is supplied complete with a simple step-by-step guide for inexperienced installers.

To make the process even simpler and to give added confidence, Roman has also created an online step-by-step video podcast guide. Customers can visit Roman’s website (http://www.roman-showers.com) to see a short 3 minute video which takes them through each step involved in the installation process.

The Roman Shield products are also available to purchase individually for larger installations, or for those more experienced with wetroom technology.

Roman’s tanking system is a proven technology which has been used across Europe, including countries where tanking the bathroom is part of the building regulations. The kit is also backed by a 10 year guarantee for added peace of mind.

Roman Shield can be used by a qualified installer or those experienced in DIY.

Wetrooms are the ultimate style statement and a much sought-after look. Priced at only £265 inc VAT, the cost of the Roman Shield Tanking kit is comparable to that of a good quality shower tray. With the introduction of Roman Shield, Roman is now the one-stop-shop for creating a wetroom. Along with tanking products, the company also offers; wetroom panels, enclosures and walk-ins compatible for installation straight-to-floor, invigorating thermostatic shower valves, including options where the valves are integrated into the wetroom panels and shower baskets to complete the look.

David Osborne, Managing Director of Roman, comments; 'We are extremely excited about the launch of Roman Shield. Wetrooms are becoming increasingly popular across the UK, but installers are often wary of the technology involved in creating a wetroom. This tanking kit is designed to offer confidence and peace of mind to the installer; it is easy to use with simple instructions, and to offer even more assurance, installers can refer to our on-line video.

'The kit was previewed for the first time at this year’s B & K Expo. The feedback was extremely positive all round. It certainly became a talking point of the stand, with visitors keen to find out launch dates.'

Three New Walk-In Showers Released

As the trend towards the ‘wet room’ look continues, tc bathrooms has introduced three new walk-in showers to its range.

The three new designs; Orbit, Nova and Metro, have a contemporary look featuring frameless screens that create a ‘wet room’ type experience. The slimline shower tray available on all three ranges also completes the minimalistic look.

The Nova and Orbit walk-in enclosures are supplied with a shower column and both feature a curved screen to allow for maximum space when showering. Nova can be installed in a recessed location between two walls, whilst Orbit can be fitted in a corner situation. The built in shower tower on Nova and Orbit feature a drench head, slide rail and body jets, for added luxury.

The Metro range is a stunning shower enclosure and again creates a wet room look. Featuring premium quality 8mm toughened frameless glass screens Metro can be installed as a left or right hand walk-in shower creating a contemporary look that will appeal to all homeowners looking for a designer look.

The Metro is available in 1495mm and 1695mm sizes and can be fitted with any of tc bathroom’s stylish showers.

Steve Parkinson, Sales Director at tc bathrooms said: 'Buyers are looking to create wet rooms, but without the expense.
