The
AH 360 Wall-Mounted Hood with Coanda Effect from Gaggenau
A
system exclusive to Gaggenau facilitates
steam extraction with optimum efficiency. ‘No other hood works more
quietly while delivering the same performance,’ says the company.
Discovered by Romanian Henry Maria Coanda, the Coanda effect prevents
cooking vapour from escaping into the kitchen. The secret is two additional
fans, which generate an air current at the front edge of the appliance.
By deflecting the air current around a cylinder to the back, the cooking
vapour is diverted completely into the hood's filter area, where it is
absorbed. With a 4-stage control system, the hood's stage-3 setting extracts
as efficiently as comparable appliances set to ‘’intensive’
(860 m3/h). The intensive setting of the AH 360 automatically switches
back to the level previously set after a period of 5 minutes, for example
after searing meat. The Coanda function can also be selected for each
power setting (+ 80 m3/h). A specially designed digital display provides
clear information on the power settings selected and additional functions:
The main functions are controlled by a knob, the additional ones via a
button.
In addition to optimum extraction, the hood uses 4x20 Watt halogen lamps
to provide the most powerful yet dazzle-free under-hood lighting on the

now offers ice and water dispensing models within the company’s range
of Active Smart™ stainless steel refrigerators.
Normally
the territory of side-by-side models, water dispensers generally take
up a large proportion of the refrigerator's internal volume. Fisher &
Paykel has solved the problem by installing an external water dispenser
and an internal ice maker in an Active Smart™ refrigerator, occupying
only 3.5 litres of the fridge's total usable volume. All models are plumbed
in the main water supply.
The filtered water dispenser is stylishly visible on the outside of the
refrigerator door, however, internally, the door's storage space is not
compromised. It still offers a convenient location for condiments, cheeses,
eggs, milk and drinks. An automatic 'measured fill' facility measures
out an exact quantity of water, which is ideal for people who love cooking
or baking.
The internal ice dispenser located in the freezer filters ice cubes into
a dedicated ice bin ensuring a constant and steady supply of ice at all
times. Remove the ice bin, and the freezer will continue to make ice until
it fills the top tray - enough for any entertaining occasion. The ice
dispenser can be turned off if not required and there is absolutely no
space loss in the freezer compartment either.
Three new models in EZKleen brushed stainless steel with a choice of either
Fisher & Paykel's new 'designer series' flat fronted or traditional
'icon' curved door make up the range.
A useful feature included in the new Ice & Water refrigerator models,
is 'Freezer Chill'. When activated, the freezer will sets to a minimum
temperature for 12 hours. 'Freezer Chill' is designed to help bring food
to a safe long-term storage temperature quickly, for instance when a large
quantity of fresh meat has just been placed in the freezer. After 12 hours,
the freezer automatically adjusts to normal operation.
'Bottle Chill' which, like 'Freezer Chill' activates low temperatures
for a set period of time, is designed to chill a bottle or can fast and
can be set at 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 minute increments. So, you don't have
to worry about forgetting about that bottle of wine left in the freezer
to chill quickly.

Space Launches into the Orbit of Silence
Bringing
a new level of silence to decorative hoods, Elica's
patented noise reduction system Elica Deep Silence (EDS) now means that
at low speeds you'll barely hear the cooker hood at all.
The company says that the difference made by the sound-absorbing performance
of the new EDS system in comparison with the previous generation is like
comparing a busy office environment with a library.
For the technically minded, at an airflow of 500 m3/h, for example, the
maximum noise level is 45 db/A - a reduction of more than 35% compared
to conventional hoods.
This reduction in domestic noise pollution creates new possibilities for

ATAG's

Bringing

The 100cm wide stainless steel cooker has six burners, including wok burner,
