Washstations & Basin Stands: A New Line-Up From Imperial Bathrooms

A total of 13 new washstations and basin stands from Imperial Bathrooms is further testimony to its ambitious new product launch strategy and increased resolve to distinguish itself within the retail marketplace.

Designed to provide a distinctive, modern and imaginative alternative to the traditional pedestal, these freestanding and wall hung units not only offer a variety of space saving and storage opportunities, they provide a stunning finishing statement for any bathroom.

Freestanding Washstations: Combining practicality with the beauty of natural materials, Imperial Bathrooms now offers four new freestanding timber washstations to add to its existing successful ranges. Embracing classical elegance with modern design, these units appeal to both contemporary and period interiors. Each piece is individually hand-crafted in solid wood and cleverly co-ordinates with a new line-up of basins, stone and marble vessel bowls, co-ordinating mirrors and brassware. A choice of wood finishes completes the bespoke look.

From just four models - Cuda, Sirona, Cian and Linea - a variety of storage options are presented. As well as 'open' units that boast a choice of an integral drawer and a wood slatted or glass shelf, the new line-up offers single and double door units that are available in a striking metal or wood weave fronts. The complete Linea range also offers a choice of wood or marble tops, together with a corner option that is ideal for those bathrooms where space is at a premium.

Freestanding Metal Basin Stands
: Designed to complement the company's popular Westminster, Oxford, Cambridge and Etoile ranges of sanitaryware, this new collection successfully harmonises modern features with traditional elegant design. Whilst Oxford, Cambridge and Etoile incorporate an integral glass storage shelf and towel rail with a choice of antique gold or chrome finish, Westminster epitomises the 'modern classic' design ideal. Its striking decorative chrome front panel is complemented by traditionally-styled legs that are available in either chrome or chrome with wenge wood.

Wall-hung Units: Although both present space saving opportunities, the new Latis washstations bring modern elegance to any bathroom, whilst the Astoria Deco basin, complete with Epoch decorative wall brackets, oozes period charm. Accommodating the company's new vessel, stone and marble bowls, the single-door Latis washstations also offer a choice of metal or wood weave door fronts and finish.

All freestanding and wall-hung units are designed to complement Imperial Bathrooms' recently extended range of brassware.

Imperial Bathrooms Launches ‘Limited Edition’ Designs

Imperial Bathrooms introduces Limited Edition – an exclusive collection of seven distinctive designs created especially for three of the company’s hand-crafted sanitaryware ranges.

Limited Edition echoes the marketing concept of 'Pseudo-Adaptive Design Customisation', whereby the company’s standard range of sanitaryware products have been cleverly adapted to create individual pieces that are perceived as unique and exclusive by the consumer. As well as bringing a high level of design and style to the bathroom, this collection is a statement of quality and investment. To create further individuality, bespoke Limited Edition pieces are also available.

Each design is featured subtly around the basin edge and cistern lid. Whilst Bubble, Zen and Frappe offer subtle yet eye-catching patterns that introduce vibrancy and colour to the bathroom, Jazz and Kinetic provide a more contemporary and elegant look. Meanwhile, a bold design statement is offered by Pebble and Bathroom – the latter paying homage to its own inscription with black lettering on crisp white ceramic.

To create further kudos for the consumer, a strictly limited number of each design is to be produced. Each Limited Edition piece comes complete with a platinum logo, an exclusive numbered certificate and all are meticulously foam packaged.

Imperial Bathrooms’ Managing Director, Antonio Garrido, explains: 'The introduction of this unique handcrafted range marks an exciting phase of development for the company. Not only does it demonstrate our passion for design and manufacture, together with our relentless endeavours to satisfy the needs of the discerning, it is an ideal opportunity for us to present the market with real points of design differential.'

He continued: 'We believe that consumers are increasingly searching for products that make them feel special, unique and individual, and with increased disposable income, they are willing to invest more than ever to personalise their home. Limited Edition not only offers these consumers a customised and exclusive bathroom solution, it provides the ultimate in personal expression and style.'

All three ranges of sanitaryware complete with Limited Edition designs are manufactured in-house by Imperial Bathrooms’ team of skilled specialists. Each piece is hand-finished to exacting standards and comes available with a lifetime guarantee.

Striking a Good First Impression

Twyford Bathrooms is expanding its ever-popular Twyford Pure range with the launch of Impression, a brand new contemporary suite for the retail sector.

Placed towards the higher end of the market, Impression is designed with a striking geometric aesthetic that clearly boasts an 'urban chic' style.

The clean and subtle lines are echoed through the different pieces, giving a strong design link and sense of continuity throughout the suite.

The Impression suite comprises a close coupled WC with a soft close seat as standard, and an easy to use push button dual flush (6L/4L) to help save water.

There are four different basins to choose from, all 1-tap: a 600mm basin, a 400mm hand rinse basin, a semi-recessed basin and a 530mm corner basin. The 600mm basin can also be matched with a full pedestal or a semi-pedestal to cleverly give the illusion of space.

Impression offers an extensive range of uniquely designed products to realise a modern bathroom scheme.

The different suite options give the consumer greater choice, and offers a solution for every installation situation.

As one would expect from Twyford, Impression is competitively priced and of course conforms to European quality standards. Moreover, each product comes with a full guarantee.

Excitingly, a new range of furniture and bath options will be available later on in the year, to offer an even greater choice of products.

‘Ei-Giene’ BathSound

'Ei-Giene’ BathSound turns any acrylic bath into a highly refined audio loudspeaker. ‘Whilst the thought is almost unimaginable, the results have to be heard to be believed,’ says the company.

BathSound lets you plug in your iPod / MP3 player and with a volume control positioned on the bath you can listen to your favorite music whilst having a shave, washing your hair, showering and more unbelievable soaking in the BathSound.
‘Whether empty or full of water, the sound is incredible, and the reproduction is so life like, you can close your eyes and be part of the BathSound.

‘BathSound works on the same principle as a musical instrument such as the acoustic guitar or violin. Using a patented electro-acoustic excitation device attached on either side of the bath, the whole body of the bath vibrates very slightly. And, just like the guitar or violin, these vibrations create a powerful and natural sound source.

‘BathSound is completely hygienic, needs no cleaning or maintenance, and is completely safe.’

£399 inc vat fitted with your Spa or Whirlpool.

RevoLOOtionary Water Saving Design from Impulse Bathroom Products

A Birmingham company is hoping to flush out the water conscious public with the launch of the UK's first toilet with a 4.5 - 3 litre dual flush. ‘This unique design from Impulse Bathroom Products is one of the most important developments in a world where water use reduction is rapidly becoming a priority,’ says the company.

Estimated to save a minimum of 25% of water per flush in the average family home, the new Impulse Tribune Dual Flush WC, which is equipped with its EVO(tm) valve, has been awarded WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Service) accreditation.

The company says that the new design is the first system in the UK to operate a 4.5 litre/3 litre dual flush system. Having enjoyed success in Australia where water regulations are extremely stringent, Impulse will now be offering the EVO(tm) system in many of its ranges.

Gary Hawkins, General Manager of Impulse said: ‘Water prices (supply and waste) continue to rise steadily, more and more homes have water meters fitted and many of us have experienced hose pipe bans and even stand pipes during summer months. The need for us to conserve water is vital and can no longer be ignored.

‘Impulse's design team has embraced water conservation and developed the EVO(tm) 41/2 / 3 litre flush valve. This revolutionary EVO(tm) outlet valve in conjunction with the remodelled geometry of the WC trap design has resulted in the UK's first WRAS approved 41/2 / 3 litre toilet suite - The Tribune WC pan and cistern. The new Impulse Zeto Suite which was also launched officially at KBB 2006 is the second 41/2 / 3 EVO(tm) valve suite in the stylish Impulse range.

‘We hope that architects, businesses, water conservationists and the general public will appreciate the ecological and financial benefits of this development.

‘Not only does the new Impulse EVO(tm) flush system offer between a 25% to 40% water saving on current flush systems installed in the UK (on full flush), it offers an improved flush efficiency which is over and above current UK requirements.

‘Installing the Impulse EVO system in British homes could save millions of litres of water each year without compromising sewage systems; we believe that our new system represents a very significant saving both economically and ecologically’.

Ashley Bathrooms Launches new Cloakroom Sanitaryware: Less Basin - More Made in Britain

Ashley Bathrooms has launched two new cloakroom basins to add to its 'Made in Britain' range of sanitaryware. Named after local villages surrounding the company's Derbyshire-based head office, the Kedleston and Repton cloakroom basins are faithfully slimmed-down versions of their full sized siblings. Suitable for cloakrooms and ensuites alike, both offer a compact 500mm width and similarly low projections from the wall. Like all Ashley sanitaryware both new basins come with a lifetime guarantee.

As two of the most popular collections in the Ashley Bathrooms range, the Kedleston and Repton are designed to assist the trend of having multiple bathrooms within one house kitted out with the same range of sanitaryware.
Attention to achieving this consistent design theme extends to the dedicated pedestal. This option not only successfully hides the waste fittings, it also accurately maintains a very specific look across two versions of the same product. Both new cloakroom basins feature a single tap hole and are designed to look their best when used in conjunction with Ashley's dedicated range of brassware.

David Smith, Ashley Bathroom's Marketing Director says, ‘Our aim is to offer more choice, whilst keeping the same successful brand values of clean design and high quality local workmanship. Ashley bathrooms is the last remaining British-owned sanitaryware factory in Stoke-on-Trent. The region has a long heritage of producing the finest ceramic goods in the world and this makes us proud to be taking the range forward with quality homegrown products.’

'Designers at Moods' Teams Up with Gala

The new Moods Bathroom Designer Collection, a division of PJH Group, has launched the Universal Bathroom range from Gala.

The company says that The Designer Collection, which is exclusive to PJH, has been created to ‘simply offer the 'best of the best' bathroom products, sourced from many of the world's most respected designers and bathroom specialists’.

As one of the leading bathroom specialists in Spain, Gala has teamed up with Moods to make the new Universal bathroom range an exclusive to Moods stockists. A modern classic, the Universal matches up to its name - a contemporary style whilst at the same time versatile enough to suit a wide range of interiors and tastes.

Universal's fashionable square and chunky nature has been softened to provide a more feminine look to the strong geometric lines. Compact, yet large enough to suit a family bathroom, the designer range features a close coupled pan and bidet, plus a 600mm one tap hole basin with space-saving semi-pedestal.

As part of the new Moods Designer Collection, the Universal ceramic ware range has been chosen due to its properties in coordinating with other bathroom products in the collection. In particular the new Cesana shower enclosure range, also in the collection, complements Universal's similar design-led features, up-to-the-minute looks and quality standards. This theme runs throughout the entire Designer Collection.
