impression of light and space, while the overall design offers timeless
appeal.

Emilia range we are providing our customers with an even greater ability
to respond to this demand.

New
Bedroom from Burbidge is Cheery in Cherry
The
new Emilia Tuscan Cherry bedroom, recently launched by Burbidge,
combines warmth and comfort. The rich colour tones of the cherry finish
create a welcoming impression, while the classical styling and solid construction
of the doors make this a bedroom design that will stand the test of time.
Made
from high quality American Alder wood and finished in a warm cherry colour,
the frontals of the Emilia Tuscan Cherry bedroom collection feature raised
and fielded centre panels, and are complemented by a range of decorative
accessories such as moulded pilasters and profiled plinths as well as
English bronze finished knobs.
Ben Burbidge, managing director of Burbidge, comments: Having launched
our bedroom portfolio with a smart contemporary oak design, followed by
a very modern aluminium glazed door option, we felt it was appropriate
to add a more traditional bedroom to the collection. Emilia Tuscan Cherry
will be a popular choice for people looking for a cosy fitted bedroom
that will suit any style of home, and will remain appealing for years
to come.
There are three styles of door available in the range a solid panelled
door, a full height bevelled edge mirror door and a feature mullioned
glass door, which looks particularly effective with decorative curtaining
displayed behind. All doors are available in a broad range of sizes and
can be supplied with a variety of popular interior storage wirework accessories
such as wardrobe lighting rail, chrome plated tie and belt rail and pull

Ben
Burbidge added: Quintessentially English fitted bedrooms continue
to be very popular, so we launched Emilia Tuscan Cherry with the aim of
helping our customers to meet this high demand. By providing a broad range
of components for the Emilia Tuscan Cherry range our customers will also

Burbidge
Brings Fitted Bedrooms Bang up to Date
Burbidge
has added a further contemporary design to its recently launched fitted
bedroom furniture collection Prado Alabaster.
The
new Prado Alabaster bedroom is suitable for those who appreciate the clean
lines of urban chic style. The doors and drawer fronts feature contemporary
geometric styling which, combined with a cool alabaster finish and complemented
by square matt nickel knobs, create very modern and refreshing bedroom
storage solutions. Particularly distinctive are the full height glazed
doors, which feature frosted green glass panels and look equally good
when used on their own to create banks of units or when interspersed with
solid doors to add interest to a bedroom design.
Ben Burbidge, managing director, comments: The aim behind Prado
Alabaster was to give fitted bedrooms a more modern, up-to-date image.
Weve combined simple styling with a neutral colour and contemporary
green-tinted semi-opaque glass to create a bedroom design that we believe
will appeal to homeowners who want the practical storage benefits that
fitted bedroom furniture offers, but who might previously have considered
fitted bedrooms old fashioned. While it is a design that will
suit any home and appeal to a broad range of homeowners, we believe Prado
Alabaster will be particularly attractive to the younger market and fitted
bedroom sceptics.
In addition to a solid alabaster door and a glazed door, the Prado Alabaster
range includes a full height mirror door and two styles of drawer front,
available in a variety of sizes. A broad range of interior storage accessories,
such as a wardrobe lighting rail, chrome plated tie and belt rail, plus
pull out tie and trouser rails, are also offered by Burbidge.
Further information about the Prado Alabaster bedroom collection and Burbidges
other fitted bedroom furniture designs can be found on http://www.burbidge.co.uk.
A brochure, price list and product manual with helpful fitting instructions
can also be obtained by calling Burbidge on 024 7667 1600.
Products can also be viewed in realistic room sets in Burbidges
dedicated showroom at its Coventry manufacturing facility. The showroom
is open five days a week between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Embrace
Restores On-Screen Bedroom Bliss
Symphony's
Embrace Bedrooms Collection has started 2005 in the limelight with two national
television makeovers in as many months. Following on from its appearance
on the ITV's 60 Minute Makeover, the bedroom furniture brand took centre
stage when Channel Five's interior design and property gurus, Colin McAllister
and Justin Ryan, tackled a bedroom bombsite in the second series of their
show How Not to Decorate.
How Not to Decorate sees the boys tackling the questionable style choices
made by British homeowners and attempting to rectify them. Using a team
of builders, project managers and home-owners, they go to great lengths
to ensure that homes are redesigned successfully.
The hour-long shows are broadcast on Fridays at 9pm and the new series includes
a number of celebrity homes in need of some of the boys unique brand
of attention, which started with Sam Fox in the first episode. A Tamara
bedroom from Embrace, featured on 11th February when a Romford couple with
more children than space available got the How Not to Decorate treatment.
'One of the main changes we made was to give Bonnie and Alan extra space
by making their son's bedroom double up as a dressing room for them, while
he is away at university' said Colin. 'We definitely had to get rid of the
dubious purple and gold décor and 80's style stripes in order to
recreate an elegant Rennie Mackintosh theme throughout the home. The
clever use of a drop down bed means that there is still somewhere for their
son to sleep when he comes home from university.
'In the series, we are aiming to help the legions of people who are now
confidently undertaking all manner of home improvements by themselves, by
steering them in the direction of distinctive design and good taste.'
Symphony's Retail Marketing Manager, Gary Turnbull, comments: 'We were delighted
Colin and Justin chose Embrace Bedrooms for this project on Channel Five,
and judging by the first few of episodes, it will certainly make entertaining
viewing.'
The Embrace Bedrooms Collection is part of the Symphony Group, the UK's
largest independent fitted furniture supplier. This collaboration with Five
is the latest in a series of high profile television projects undertaken
by the company over the last twelve months.

Embrace
Bedrooms' Mia Reflects Philosophy of Simplicity
The
latest addition to the Embrace Bedroom Collection
has an oriental mood. Mia carefully combines contrasting pearwood and
wenge to evoke the distinctive Japanese shoji paper screens so typical
of oriental interior design.
The dark wenge frames create a geometric pattern, whilst the pale pearwood
replaces the more traditional paper panels to provide practical storage
for a clutter free, tranquil bedroom space.
Mia joins a comprehensive choice of fitted bedroom furniture designs in
the Embrace collection from classic timber shaker ranges to sleek Italian
influenced saponetta designs.
Embrace bedrooms was developed following research, which revealed that
consumers have a special bond with their bedrooms. Women in particular
look to the bedroom to fulfil their need for a tranquil personal space
where they can go to retreat from the stresses of everyday life.
Embrace's Gary Turnbull believes Mia is particularly well suited to answer
this requirement. He comments: 'The philosophy of simplicity which influences
Eastern interiors makes them ideal as a starting point when planning a
bedroom design. Mia combines the essence of this oriental style with the
flexibility of Embrace's range of units and accessories to enable designers
to create a tranquil haven for clients whatever the size of their bedroom.'
Embrace is part of The Symphony Group, the UK's largest privately owned
furniture supplier. Further information on a full choice of Symphony's
ranges is available through the Marketing Department on 0870 120 8000

Sleep
Soundly with the Ingenious Eco-Pillow
'A
bad night's sleep can lead to an even worse day, but this needn't be the
case. A simple solution is the critically acclaimed Eco-Pillow. This award-winning
pillow uses the world's first and only Pillow Selector. The innovation utilises
advanced computer technology concentrating on modern optics and ergonomics
to provide a personalised pillow that finds the exact curve of the users
neck and shoulder. Each Eco-Pillow complements the specific requirements
of the individual, ensuring the best possible night's sleep, it can even
help to alleviate snoring.' says the company.
Both the Eco-Pillow and Pillow Selector benefit from years of research and
development. The Eco-Pillow has been designed with the help of over 30 physiotherapists
and chiropractors. It was recently awarded the Gold Medal at the International
Exhibitions of Inventions and has been endorsed by the Sydney Physiotherapist's
Clinic and University of South Australia.
The
Eco-Pillow can provide significant relief for those who snore. By adopting
the correct sleeping alignment, the airways are kept clear, thereby alleviating
snoring. The correct sleeping position can also ensure that the blood circulates
properly round the body, reducing any potential numbness or headaches and
increasing levels of energy. When lying on the back, the Eco-Pillow tilts
the head, allowing the neck muscles to relax. In addition, the Eco-Pillow
maintains the horizontal position of the spine - when sleeping on the side
- leaving the respiratory tract unobstructed.
Raymond Kan, UK Managing Director commented, 'The Eco-Pillow launches in
the UK, following the phenomenal success in Hong Kong. The difference with
this product is the Pillow Selector. This point of sale ensures a personalised
Eco-Pillow that really can help you sleep more soundly and more comfortably.
The added results for those who snore mean the Eco-Pillow really will make
a difference to how we sleep in the UK.'
The Eco-Pillow is the brainchild of Sleepcare Ltd, which specialise in specific
sleep research and development. It is a division of the international A-Fontane
Group, manufacturers of quilts, comforters, pillows and mattresses. As well
as the Eco-Pillow, Sleepcare also offers the Eco Bed, designed with the
revolutionary pressure relieving points. The Eco Bed is another sleep innovation
- firm enough to support the spine but at the same time soft enough to accommodate
the hip and shoulder areas, ensuring the natural curve of the spine is maintained
when lying down.
Sleepcare Ltd will open a new show room in Milton Keynes this August, enabling
retailers and distributors to experience both the Eco-Pillow and Pillow
Selector, along with the entire Sleepcare range.
About A-Fontane/Sleepcare Ltd

launched in 1979 as a small family business. It has repeatedly won the coveted
'Top Ten Brand' award in Hong Kong. Sleepcare Ltd is a subsidiary of A-Fontane
