'The Arrival of Kitchen Living' will bring a new set of inspirational keynotes by world-renowned design masters from across the world to the historic Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA, June 16-17. The international list of speakers includes: Johnny Grey (UK), Roberto Lucci (Italy), Fu-Tung Cheng (USA) and Sean Carney (Sweden), among more to be announced. Attendees will be enlightened by this unique mixture of talent and challenged by working side-by-side with fellow industry professionals in creative, problem-solving workshops. They will learn how to advance their design skills, expand their vision of creativity and special techniques that enabled the extraordinary success of each featured keynote. Small groups of participants will meet with each keynote speaker on a more intimate level to discuss a specific design project, providing the opportunity to understand how the design leaders approach the most basic design challenges. These sessions will bring attendees together to share ideas, discuss problems, and enjoy the intellectual stimulation that can be derived from working with experienced and talented peers in a relaxed environment that is dedicated to inspiration. Johnny Grey Returns Back from the UK for his second MasterClass Conference, Johnny Grey, designer and owner of a design studio in the San Francisco Design Centre, will demonstrate his practical vision and skills as an observer and unique thinker. Best known for incorporating soft geometry, democratic planning, and dedicated work areas, Grey believes the kitchen is not just an area for food preparation and eating, but the centre of all domestic life. It is the true living room of any home. After graduating in 1977 from the London Architectural Association School of Architecture, Grey set up his own design studio, Johnny Grey Ltd., and since, his ideas have influenced the design world. His 'unfitted kitchen' concept was licensed to Smallbone in 1987. In addition to his studio and UK-based firm, Grey has authored The Art of Kitchen Design, The Hard Working House, The Kitchen Work Book, and Kitchen Culture. 'Johnny's presentation was inspirational, on a very emotional level that made me feel like I'm on the right track with my own designs,' Paula Arsens said of his keynote at the Fall MasterClass Conference. The design team at Studio Levien have created 'The Bath' to be simply beautiful and beautifully simple. The 170 x 75cm Idealcast bath has no tap deck and features a very simple narrow rim around its whole circumference.
