Stoves
and Belling Celebrate the Success of the BBC Good Food Show 2006
The
BBC Good Food Show was a big success this year for brands Stoves and Belling,
with an impressive stand, consumer offers and lively demonstrations of
the Genus oven by The Big Chef, Peter Osborne.
The five day show opened on Wednesday 22nd November at Birmingham's NEC,
with huge demand for tickets meaning that Saturday quickly sold out. Showcasing
a selection of appliances from range and freestanding cookers to built-in
ovens and hobs, Stoves offered visitors the chance to see for themselves
the quality food Genus delivers in a fraction of the time, with cooking
demonstrations throughout the show.
Visitors to the stand could also enter the free prize draw to win one
of 5 Baby Belling Pronto table top induction hobs.
Still seen as the crème de la crème of cooking exhibitions,
the BBC Good Food Show provides an excellent opportunity for both brands
to heighten awareness and generate consumer pull-through. Louise Morris,
Marketing Services Manager for Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, comments:
'This show seems to get better every year and we have received a strong
response from the public. The Big Chef Peter Osborne was a great asset
this year and his cooking demonstrations proved popular and allowed the
lifestyle benefits that Genus has to offer to really stand out from the
crowd.
'With 40 different products on display, Stoves and Belling have both reaffirmed
their status as leading cooking brands and the retail results will no
doubt speak for themselves.'

Cesana
makes a Statement at Cersaie
Italian
shower manufacturer Cesana exhibited
its range of stylish, contemporary showers at Cersaie, the International
Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, held in Bologna,
26-30 September 2006.
Cesana's impressive yet simple stand reflected its shower enclosure designs
and attracted a lot of attention throughout the show.
The main focus for Cesana was on the Logic Horizon, with the shelf placed
between two glass panels and the exclusive Logic system, which comprises
a special mixer to regulate water temperature and flow from both inside
and outside the shower enclosure.
The Logic Horizon will be available in the second half of 2007 and reflects
the contemporary trend for walk in showering areas, which Cesana addresses
with its successful Tecnostar range that also played an important role
in the exhibition.
The Tecnoglass range was another popular product on the stand, particularly
the sliding doors of the Quadrant model. Constructed from 6mm thick tempered
glass, Tecnoglass shower models are adjustable in size, reversible and
above all stylish, with handles in chromed brass. Enclosures are available
in a variety of styles to suit all kinds of bathroom (bi-fold door, pivot
twin door, corner entry). The new door is especially suitable for large
areas, but can also be used in corner installation with a return panel.
Gloria Riva, Cesana's marketing director comments: Cersaie was a
good opportunity for us to reconfirm our leading position in the Italian
market and we are very satisfied with the positive reactions of clients,
professionals and journalists, to our innovative products.
The ethos behind the design of all Cesana showers is to make showering
a daily pleasure and respond to the continuing trend for well-being and
relaxation in the bathroom. Whether the bathroom is large and spacious
or compact, Cesana has the solution.
Cesana has been established in Milan for almost 40 years and says that
it has constantly led the market in both design and technical innovation.

Clear
Show-Stopper at Interbuild India
Clearwater
Collection,
the manufacturer of freestanding baths, exhibited a selection of its freestanding
baths at Interbuild India, held in New Delhi, 26-28 October 2006.
Clearwater has been exporting to India for three years and its popularity
in the country is growing rapidly.
Mohan Sangha who runs the Indian Clearwater factory in Kala Sangha, Jalander,
comments; The use of baths in India is a fairly new trend, with
all large houses being commissioned to have at least one or more bathrooms
containing a bath. However, the use of freestanding baths in India is
still in its infancy.
Mohan continues; Although Clearwater freestanding baths were a fairly
new concept for most visitors to the show, the benefits of this type of
bath in our environment are considerable, as nearly all of our bathrooms
have tiled floors, which is the best flooring for a freestanding bath.
Clearwater Collection specialises in the manufacture of double-skin acrylic
freestanding baths and prides itself on the quality of its baths along
with the vast range of designs it offers, covering both traditional and
contemporary styles. Clearwater baths are also extremely versatile, offering
a selection of models that can either make a big impact or simply fit
into an ensuite.
A range of these spectacular baths were on display at Interbuild, which
is recognised in the building, construction and interiors industries as
a proven trade only platform from which to target the Indian subcontinent.

£10,000
Fridge Appears at Ideal Home Show
The
Gorenje fridge freezer, hailed as 'the most glamorous appliance in the
world', and decorated with 7,000 Swarovski crystals, made a star appearance
at the Ideal Home Show Scotland.
One
of only five in the world, the luxury appliance was a special guest of
media style gurus and TV presenters Colin and Justin.
The Glasgow duo recently auctioned the 'fridge-freezer in a glitzy TV
charity auction in aid of the local charity that they fervently support.
The 'Eye-Catcher' raised £10,000 for a youth project on an underprivileged
housing estate to the west of the city. The winning bidder, a local entrepreneur,
loaned Colin and Justin the appliance especially for the exhibition, which
ran at Glasgow's SECC until 22nd October.
Colin and Justin played a major part in the Ideal Home Show Scotland,
which, hailed as Scotland's most stylish, sophisticated and fun interiors
exhibition, showcased the latest trends and luxury items to the public
for a week and a half.
The Gorenje 'Eye-Catcher' is without doubt one of the most desirable appliances
in the world. With 7,000 hand-embedded Swarovski crystals and a gloss
black finish, it is the ultimate in luxury for the home.
In addition to its looks, thanks to Gorenje's pioneering insulation technology,
it has an enormous capacity without compromising energy efficiency - and
leads the field with an A+ energy rating, making it better for the environment
as well as inexpensive to run.
Its touch control screen provides full diagnostic information, a recipe
book and storage tips for the user. Twin compressors mean that the 'fridge
and the freezer can be independently temperature controlled, for defrosting,
going on holiday and optimum performance through the seasons. Gorenje
also offers a commercial series based on the Eye-catcher,
with 3,500 crystals in two rows, available for consumers who long for
something special and prestigious, and especially for Swarovski fans.
It retails for around £1,500.
At the auction in Glasgow's Oran Mor centre recently, the Gorenje 'fridge-freezer
went to Mr Willie Haughey for a record £10,000, making it, by far,
the most expensive kitchen appliance of its kind in the country.
Other lots at Colin and Justin's auction, which raised almost £80,000,
included VIP invites to Universal Film Premieres, Golf at Loch Lomond
with training from international pro Stephen McAllister, a day's sailing
on Simon le Bon's former yacht Drum, a weekend in a remote Scottish hideaway
with a chauffeur-driven Rolls and a Star Wars light sabre signed by Ewan
McGregor.
Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan still live in their native Glasgow and
are heavily involved in local community projects. They shot to fame with
the Million Pound Property Experiment on BBC2 and have since presented
a number of shows on TV and radio, write several newspaper and magazine
columns, written two books and front several charities.
Celebrities attending the auction event included Atomic Kitten Liz 'Lil'
McLarnon, Anna Ryder Richardson, John Amabile and Willie Nelson.
All of the money is going towards creating youth facilities on Arden,
a 1950s ex-council estate which currently has no community café
or youth group, and which has seen youth crime, vandalism, drug and alcohol
abuse and general anti-social behaviour spiral out of control.

Food Show 2006, at the NEC, Birmingham, 22-26 November 2006, Booth HH5.

a super-tough nylon poly material, thus being totally waterproof and 100%
reusable. They are available in four sizes to satisfy every food storage
need and retail from just £4.99 for a pack of four rods and eight
bags.
Pack-Mate CarryLock is a variant on the AnyLock concept. It is a
super-tough, reusable bag designed specifically to carry and store all

two different sizes, 4 and 6.5 litres, the bags are tested to an external
