The Lavella 150U is a combined 1.5 bowl model that fits into a standard

As a combined sink, it has the advantage of only requiring one worktop
cut out. This reduces fabrication and installation costs, while still
delivering the aesthetic appeal of an undermount 1.5 bowl. Left hand and
right hand drainer options are available.

Opus
Looks a Winner in New Wood Finishes
Burbidge
has combined its ultra contemporary Opus kitchen design with dramatic
wood grain finishes to create two new kitchen designs, Opus Smoked Cherry
and Opus Chestnut. The new smoked cherry and chestnut foil finishes have
very distinctive graining that visibly accentuate the sharp, clean lines
of the minimalist Opus frontals - particularly when the frontals are designed
as a bank of storage units or a run of wide pan drawers.
The
Smoked Cherry has a warm, mid-tone shading and a distinctive, but slightly
muted, wood grain patterning, while the Chestnut has a paler finish but
a more dramatic wood grain pattern. Both designs are accompanied by two
linear aluminium effect handle options as well as select accessories that
have been developed to create specific points of interest in an Opus kitchen.
Making a bold style statement when combined with the straight lines of
the Opus frontals is a softly curved moulding, which can be used as a
pilaster, cornice, light pelmet or plinth to give a retro feel to a kitchen

Solaris
is the latest addition to the Carron Phoenix
selection of ceramic sinks. With the trad look still going strong on the
kitchen front, Solaris offers a curvier, country kitchen style alternative
to the more linear styles around.
The raised, softly moulded perimeter of the sink combines a design touch

Ceramics Realises the Dream
Ceramic
tile and sanitaryware manufacturer RAK Ceramics
has launched a new breed of contemporary Fireclay sink for the UK market.
Called Dream Gourmet 1, the new one and a half bowl model has been designed
to redefine the style and usability of the fireclay sink. As the logical
extension to the brand's Gourmet range, the company says that the Dream
Gourmet 1 outperforms Butler and Belfast style sinks through offering
a single unit with integral draining area that can be inset or over mounted
within kitchen work surfaces.
Finished in RAK Ceramics' hardwearing glaze, Dream Gourmet 1 is 1010 mm
long and 510 mm wide and features 90mm waste fittings to each bowl. Recessed
into the body of each casting, the draining area is smooth and flat, making
it both stylish and easy to keep clean. Completing the package, optional

Inset Handles Prove a Hit for Burbidge
The
inset handle is fast becoming a must-have in the contemporary kitchens
market reports Burbidge, which has
seen sales of its two new inset handle kitchen designs rocket since their
launch earlier in the year.

handle frontal options as part of our new Mezzo kitchen collection. Already

Telescopic Corner Eases Access in the Kitchen
Wellmann
says that corners are the most challenging area in kitchen design, especially
when the brief is to make the most of storage opportunities.
It
can be difficult to access the contents of standard corner cabinets and
revolving carousels do little to help. Even 'magic corners' that drawer
the contents out of the cabinet suffer from restricted access to the lower
shelf.
