Grey
Matters - the Latest Trend from Carron Phoenix
With
trends in the home filtering straight from the fashion capitals of the
world, it was only a matter of time before grey became big news in the
home. Using the trend prediction process, Carron
Phoenix has launched Portland - a new concrete-inspired colour
for its premium ZX range of granite sinks.
Identifying the importance of natural organics and reflecting the trend
for worksurfaces in slate, granite and concrete effects, Portland emulates
the refinement of concrete so beloved by architects. Enriched with metallic
particles to give a luxurious yet subtle pearlescence, Portland complements
taps, appliances and handles in chrome, stainless or brushed stainless
finishes.
Portland is the result of collaborative work with Ruth Hewett, a colour
consultant specialising in trend prediction who was commissioned to develop
new contemporary colours for the ZX granite range.
Neil Clark at Carron Phoenix comments:
Concrete is emerging as a trend material and Portland is our interpretation
of it for the sink market. The neutral, contemporary tone is very design
versatile, combining a refined look with a touch of industrial chic. The
smoothness of the granite material, enhanced with a touch of pearlescence,
gives Portland a very appealing design quality.
The ZX range now comes in seven colours - Portland, Havana, Graphite,
Platinum, Polar White, Champagne and Stone Grey. It is available in two
model sizes: the ZX100 single bowl and the ZX150 one and a half bowl which
are suitable for a minimum cabinet size of 600mm and 700mm respectively.
ZX offers installation options for inset, undermount or flushmount into
a range of worksurfaces including timber, laminate, granite or solid surface.
Accessories include a trivet, half bowl strainer, chopping board and wire
basket.

Classic
Ivory Offers Timeless Kitchen Style
Kitchen
expert Gallery has introduced a choice
of new kitchen ranges in calming ivory, designed to help retailers offer
their customers looking for a classic kitchen an alternative to white
or buttermilk furniture.
The two door styles recreate a traditional hand-painted kitchen look thanks
to their peach skin effect finish and have been designed to provide a
contrast with blonde oak or walnut cabinets. Or for a fully co-ordinated
look, both frontals can be combined with ivory blender panels, plinths,
cornice, pelmet, pilasters and canopies.
Edmonton offers shaker style simplicity, perfect for creating the look
of a comfortable farmhouse kitchen using a mixture of blonde oak accessories
and traditional feature units including plate racks and spice drawers.
However, the versatility of the shaker style means that Edmonton can also
be combined with a wide range of modern handles and accessories for those
who prefer a more contemporary finish.

Augusta
(Left) and Edmonton, two new designs from Gallery
For
a more formal or period look, Augusta is a traditional style door with
a raised and fielded centre panel. As with Edmonton, Augusta can be combined
with chunky oak knobs and traditional blonde oak features such as wicker
basket units and wing ends, or can be teamed with ivory blender panels,
pilasters and cream ceramic handles for those who love the look of creamy
ivory.
Gallerys Brand Manager, Katy Black comments: 'Neutral shades of
white, cream and latte continue to be good sellers. Although more bold
shades like red and black are in fashion, our research and retailer feedback
has shown that the more traditional, timeless kitchen ranges remain in
demand. These two new ranges offer retailers and designers increased flexibility,
with both door styles combining seamlessly with different accessories
to create very different looks from a traditional farmhouse setting, to
a grand, Georgian-inspired kitchen.'
The new ivory kitchens are the latest additions to Gallerys extensive
range which offers more than 30 kitchen furniture styles divided into
three easy to use categories: Modern, Shaker and Timeless. The range also
includes a choice of ergonomically designed storage accessories, work
surfaces, lighting and a choice of sinks and taps from Blanco.
Gallery is part of Symphony, the UKs largest privately owned furniture
supplier. The full range of Gallery products is available through a national
network of around 500 specialist kitchen studios across the UK. For information

The
Hottest Kitchen Innovations from Alno
ALNO
Screen, ALNO Light Shelves, ALNO Wing Wall Unit with Bamboo, Pearls in
Acrylic Glass, ALNO Illuminated Base Units, Libero Zoom, ALNO Safelift
Energy and ALNO Teatro are just a few of the innovations from the German
kitchenmeister.
ALNO
Screen - ALNO 'Screen' is an 'ad-notam' 17-inch flat TV fixed to the back
of a glass or mirrored door, which delivers flawless pictures and great
sound. The whole unit can still be used for storage, as all the cables
are concealed within the door, so it remains functional at all times.
ALNO 'Screen' is operated by a remote control.

ALNO
Light Shelves - These functional shelves with integrated lighting, make
even the plainest crockery look dazzling.
ALNO
Wing Wall Unit with Bamboo, Pearls in Acrylic Glass - The ALNO Wing unit
is an 1800mm wall unit, which incorporates a glass inlay door that can
be finished using the 'picture line' technology' with bamboo, pearls set
in acrylic glass, frosted glass or fabric. The edges of the door are curved
for an elegant finish.

ALNO
Illuminated Base Units - These glass base units have 25mm light panels
fitted between the units, allowing light to shine from the sides of the
units, giving an overall glow and a striking look from the outside.
Libero
Zoom - These wall or base aluminium silver units have glass panelled roller
shutters in either clear or frosted glass. LED lighting is situated behind
the glass shelf, illuminating the entire shelf, including the front edge.

ALNO
Safelift Energy - ALNO Safelift is a 44cm vertically mounted sliding frame
that sits behind any ALNO wall unit, but when lowered brings your kitchen
tools, medicines, telephone and home entertainment within easy reach of
the work surface. When you have finished, Safelift slides back up behind
the wall unit, which creates a desirable minimalist look, whilst maintaining
a practical working kitchen.
ALNO Teatro - ALNO Teatro consists of 120cm long folding doors, which
enables a galley or corner kitchen to be hidden from view when desired,
perfect for 'open plan living'. Whether the Teatro screen is open or closed,
tall units and corner cabinets can continue to be used without restriction.
The doors are made of an extra-light material in high gloss white, vanilla,
ruby red, ice blue or artic yellow. Those who would like a more individual
look can add creative images to the doors with the help of ALNOPicture
line.

It's
All in the Accessories with Latest Carron Phoenix Sink
It's
not just in the fashion world where accessories are important. Good accessories
can turn a standard sink into an all singing, all dancing workstation.
And that's exactly the thinking behind Carron
Phoenix's Isis 250.
The
Isis 250 caters for the 'professional hobby' cooking approach by providing
a sink which also doubles up as a food preparation area. With a raft of
accessories including chopping boards, strainer bowls and wire baskets
the Isis 250 offers flexibility for washing, straining, rinsing and the
separation of kitchen tasks ensuring no cross contamination of food stuffs.
And that's not all there is to Isis. Using the very latest in sink manufacturing
technology, Carron Phoenix has developed the Isis with a unique low profile
perimeter that sits just 4mm off the worksurface. It achieves an almost
seamless finish with the worksurface, re-interpreting a high end design
look at a more affordable and accessible price point for the premium mid
market.
In addition to the 250 sink, the Isis is also available in another three
sink sizes - all with bowls 200mm deeper than the average sink, giving
the designer a choice of smart designs for an extra spacious sink flexible
enough for any kitchen scheme.
The Isis range goes a long way to replicating the look of a more costly
flushfit or undermounted sink, while featuring all the easy installation
benefits of an inset sink with single cut-out.
