J&J Ormerod PLC Unveils its New ‘Book of Kitchens’ to Whet Market Appetite for Stylish Kitchens

J&J Ormerod PLC, the independent UK manufacturer of quality kitchens and bedrooms, announces the availability of its new brochure for its Colonial Kitchen ranges. The Book of Kitchens introduces new designs while also catering for existing fashions in the UK kitchen industry. ‘From timeless classics to contemporary units, the Colonial ranges highlight the quality and innovation of the company’s vision for the kitchen design market.’ says the company.

J&J Ormerod’s new literature evokes moods via a sensitive use of colour and form. The gloss designs put a special accent on cream, coffee and cappuccino units in the more modern kitchen. In addition to this latte palette, Colonial kitchens are also available in rich wood tones, including Beech, Walnut, Cherry and Winchester Oak.

The Colonial kitchen fascias are also available with glass doors. The glazed range offers both opaque and translucent finishes with the option of using genuine lead. J&J Ormerod has adopted the art of lead work as standard as opposed to the cheaper and more widely adopted alternative of using resin.

The Colonial ranges address the need to maximise space in the modern kitchen, by using both conventional and hidden drawers as an alternative to the traditional cupboard. This design renders the ‘dead space’ in cupboards redundant, while also introducing a more linear feel to the kitchen units.

Featured throughout the Book of Kitchens is a wide selection of accessories, including handles, all of which can be matched to the full gamut of J&J Ormerod kitchens, to create a look that fits around any colour scheme and lifestyle. The Colonial ranges offer a broad choice of door, drawer and glazed unit sizes enabling an infinite selection of combinations to be created that will ensure the kitchen is both functional and unique to the homeowner.

The Colonial ranges offer 17 different kitchens to suit any taste with an extensive range of handles and work surfaces, the Colonial range is available via a comprehensive network of independent retailers and builders merchants.

J&J Ormerod says that it 'offers exceptional quality and competitively priced kitchens and bedrooms. With a rich heritage in the industry, the company has a special focus on customer service, for example all national deliveries are guaranteed within 72 hours.’ J&J Ormerod is a corporate member of the KBSA (Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialist Association).

New Brochure from Daryl Showering is Designed with Customers’ Needs in Mind

Premium shower brand Daryl Showering has launched a new brochure containing its full range of enclosures, doors, bathscreens, multi-spray showering systems and accessories. The range has been rationalised and simplified into shapes and door styles and the brochure has been designed to be user-friendly for both retailers and consumers.

New features in the brochure include a product matrix, which is designed to offer an at a glance guide to Daryl’s complete range and make the selection process as simple as possible for consumers. It also recognises the order in which consumers will make their choice of shower enclosure.

Mike Wilson, marketing development manager at Daryl Industries, explains: ‘Our research has shown that consumers will first select a particular design style of enclosure such as minimal or traditional, followed by the selection of the shape and then door and glazing options.

‘By presenting our products in this order our brochure now doubles as a sales presenter for retailers to use when consulting with prospective consumers.’

The brochure also includes price ranges for each product style and a detailed breakdown of the price for each product featured, to give an overview of the cost for a specific size and combination of enclosure, showering system and tray.

A new technical price book – designed to be used alongside the main brochure - has also been produced to give a more in-depth guide to specifications, finishes and prices.

Mike Wilson concludes: ‘It is important to provide an overview of our product range in a simple, accessible format but this needs to be supplemented with a more detailed guide in order to complete the purchasing process.

‘Just like all the products in our range, this new brochure and technical price book have been designed with the needs of our retailers – and their consumers – in mind.’

The new brochure and technical price book are part of a new suite of marketing materials now available from Daryl Showering – all of which feature the new strapline ‘DARYL your space’.

For further information or to request a copy of the new brochure, retailers should call 0151 606 5000 or visit http://www.daryl-showers.co.uk

'Be Safe Bathroom Lighting Guide' from BC Designs

BC Designs has created the 'Be Safe Bathroom Lighting Guide'. Designed to help consumers understand the importance of choosing the correct safety lighting in the bathroom, the Guide divides the bathroom into Zones.

The Zones are determined by the distance they are from a water source i.e. Zone 1 is any area that might be subjected to a jet of water e.g. above a shower, Zone 2 is anywhere within 60cms of a basin or similar water source, and Zone 3 is the area beyond the 60cms that is not susceptible to splashing.

A simple diagram illustrates the Zones.

The Guide is in a easy to understand format, it illustrates that lights which are splashproof, jetproof and submersible come with an IP rating, the higher the rating the more suitable they are for wet conditions.

Each of BC Designs products within the Guide has been given a symbol and/or explanation of where it can safely be installed along with dimensions and prices.

For a copy of the guide consumers can contact BC Designs 01206 827100 or http://www.bcdesigns.co.uk
