In-toto Strengthens Team

National kitchen specialist In-toto has recently strengthened its franchise management team with the appointment of Andrew Best as a regional franchise manager.

Andrew will be joining Pam Berry and Steve Saunders, as part of the franchise management team and will be responsible for the Midlands and South West regions.

He has extensive knowledge and a background stretching over 17 years within the kitchen industry, most recently as sales & marketing director for Keller kitchens.
Andrew will be responsible for supporting the growth and development of showrooms in his regions, as well as finding new franchisees as the network of franchises increases.

He comments: 'I am really looking forward to my new role at In-toto. New Energy Set to Join Franke in the North

Franke UK has announced the appointment of Caroline Hardman as Northern Regional Sales Manager.

Caroline has worked with Franke for three years, and has a wealth of experience with the company whilst gaining excellent product knowledge through her previous role as Sales Office Manager.

Mayfair Takes a Creative Step Forward

Paul Lynn Joins Contracts Team

FagorBrandt UK Creates New Training Role

As part of its continued expansion and revitalisation of the business, FagorBrandt UK has created a new role within the organisation of National Training and Business Development Manager. Former De Dietrich area sales manager, Deborah Barnes, has been promoted to the position to further enhance the training offer for both De Dietrich and Fagor.

Deborah, who is CITP qualified, brings with her nearly twenty years of relevant skills having worked in the same training role for Electrolux. She also gleaned huge experience from her time working as a manager at Southern Electric and as regional training manager at Powerhouse; covering 52 store openings. With this knowledge of selling from both sides of the fence, she is well-equipped at creating training programmes that completely suit the people they are aimed at, be it staff, dealers or customers.

The role will include the creation and delivery of training programmes across the board, including tailor-made instruction for each specific dealer. These programmes will supply the detailed technical information that retailers require to sell De Dietrich and Fagor products, presented in a comprehensive yet comfortable style, and are designed to make easier recommendation of the technologically advanced products of both brands to consumers. Deborah will also oversee training of the dedicated De Dietrich Home Economists, ensuring the home demonstrations offered continue to be of the highest quality, with some new and exciting additions planned for the future.

Carina Malmgren Heander New Head of Electrolux Group Staff Human Resources

Carina Malmgren Heander has been appointed new Senior Vice President of Group Staff Human Resources and Organisational Development for the Electrolux Group. She will be part of Group Management and report to President and CEO Hans Stråberg.

Carina Malmgren Heander, 47, is currently Senior Vice President Human Resources for Sandvik AB, a global industrial group. Before joining Sandvik, Malmgren Heander held various management positions at ABB.

Malmgren Heander will assume her new position during the third quarter of 2007. She is Swedish, and will be based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her predecessor, Harry de Vos, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources for ASML, a Dutch company.

Marflow Strengthens Sales Team

Marflow Engineering, a specialist in the design and manufacture of a wide range of showers, mixers, taps and bathroom accessories, has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Paul Stone.

Paul, in his early 20's, is the sixth member of the sales team and is responsible for a variety of tasks including sales order processing and administrative support for customers both in the UK and abroad, liaising with and supporting field sales and personnel, plus technical support to all customers. The focus is very much on customer care.

Paul comments: ‘I am really looking forward to my new role at Marflow and the challenges that I am sure it will present.’

Paul has already gained experience with a sales role at leading Midland timber merchant Four Oaks Timber.

Simon Romaines Appointed as Barwick’s Sales Director

Formica Europe Appoints New European Head of Product and Design Development

Formica Ltd has announced that Gary Brown has been appointed as European Head of Product and Design Development.  He will be responsible for developing and implementing the product development and design strategy for the business in Europe.

Gary joins the company having previously been Product Innovation Leader at Ford of Europe.  He worked in a number of roles for the Ford Motor Company for almost 15 years and has an MBA from Warwick Business School.

ATAG Appoints Business Development Manager

ATAG UK, the Dutch built in appliance brand that entered the UK market in the last quarter of 2006, has appointed Graham Gleave to Business Development Manager.

Graham's appointment is key to further strengthen and increase the focus on expanding ATAG's Kitchen Specialist market and sales within the UK. He brings a wealth of experience to the company from both sides of the fence having worked for both manufacturers and retailers.

Graham joins the company from FagorBrandt and previously was with Maytag UK for a decade in a key senior sales role, directing the UK sales team. Graham began his career in retailing kitchens, rising to the position of director, with a premium Kitchen Specialist in Berkshire.

Change of CEO at Villeroy & Boch

Frank Göring is the new CEO of Villeroy & Boch since June 1st. He succeeds Wendelin von Boch, who will enter into the group's Supervisory Board after 40 years at the vertices of the company.

Göring, 45, joined Villeroy & Boch in 1997 as marketing director in the Bathroom and Kitchen division and since 2005 he has been a member of the Management Board with the responsibility for the Bathroom and Wellness division. Previously he held director roles in important companies like Procter and Gamble, Reemtsma and Hero.

The first semester for Villeroy & Boch closed with the turnover rising 5.2% compared to the previous year, with sales reaching 247.9 million Euro. Leading the demand were the foreign markets, with a rise of 8.9%.

Regarding the three divisions, Bathroom and Wellness continues to make steady progress with sales rising 15% to 137.2 million Euro.

Significant growth has been registered in Northern and Eastern Europe, in the Alpine countries and in the Far East region.

The results of the Tableware division however are not so positive, with sales at 70.7 million Euro (-9.2% on 2006). The positive results acquired in UK, Italy and Russia have not been able to compensate for the losses in Germany, USA and Benelux.

New company policies have influenced the Tile division, rising 4.2% to 40 million Euro, thanks to positive export results. The Turkish group Ecsacibasi since March 26th holds 51% of shares of the controlled V&B Fliesen, the company which directed this branch of activity.

FagorBrandt UK Appoints Mark Scott as National Account and Business Development Manager

FagorBrandt UK has appointed Mark Scott as National Account and Business Development Manager to work across both the Fagor and De Dietrich brands.

Mark has worked in the kitchen appliance industry for over 12 years, gaining his experience with brands such as Maytag, Flavel-Leisure and Fisher and Paykel, which he introduced to the UK market. Having specialised in the development of appliance brands, he has built a deep understanding of the kitchen appliances sector, working at all levels through sales and distribution.

Mark's responsibilities will be to work with existing National Accounts in the UK and Ireland and to develop new business opportunities for Fagor and De Dietrich through major nationwide retail channels and distributor networks. BCT Appoints National Contracts Sales Manager to Keep Up with Growing Demand

British Ceramic Tile (BCT Ltd) has appointed Paul Berks as its new National Contracts Sales Manager.

This is a new position within BCT and reflects the growing demand for BCT products in the contract market.

Paul Berks will be responsible for a number of key accounts, as well as having the responsibility to develop the contract and specification market sector for BCT.

Paul has extensive knowledge of working in the tile industry, with 18 years experience of dealing with importers, distributors and manufacturers. Paul has previously worked for Candy Tiles, part of BCT Ltd.

New Account Manager Joins Just Trays
