has appointed Mark Scott to the position of Business Development Manager
for the UK.
Mark's position is a new one to Maytag UK. Mark will be responsible for
pioneering, driving and expanding business opportunities through the dedicated
team of area sales managers, nationally. Mark is well known throughout
the industry having joined from Fisher & Paykel where he was UK Sales
Manager and previously of Dragon Appliances responsible for distribution

Appointments at Barwick
Bathroom
distribution specialist, Barwick has
appointed three new members of staff in its Bradford office as part of
the companys ongoing expansion. The appointments maintain Barwicks
dedication to improving levels of service and support for the bathroom
retailer.
Grant Florence has been appointed to the new role of Sales Office Coordinator
to assist in managing the increasing level of calls. Previously a customer
services technical advisor for a major bank, Grant has considerable experience
that is complementary to the role.
In the accounts department Kay Beckwith is appointed to the new role of
Assistant credit controller. Kay is joined by Nigel Hart, who has been
appointed to the position of Purchase ledger control. Kay brings with
her a wealth of financial experience with a leading bank, her solid financial
background made her ideal for this position. Nigel comes from a retail
background, as an office and finance manager in his previous job Nigel
had the right grounding to help him in his new role.

Kaczmarczyk takes up Hotpoint's Built-In Marketing Chair

has appointed Stefan Kaczmarczyk, as Category Manager for Built-in, looking
after Hotpoint, Indesit, and Creda products. Stefan will be responsible
for pushing the Hotpoint built-in portfolio forward, and strengthening
it's position in a number of key markets especially kitchen specialist,
contract, builder merchant and independent retail channels.

- Professor David L. Johnston, 62, has served as President and Vice Chancellor
of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada since July 1, 1999. A
specialist in securities regulation, corporation and information technology
law, Professor Johnston has authored numerous books, holds an A.B. from
Harvard University, an L.L.B. from Cambridge University and an L.L.B.
from Queen's University, as well as honorary doctorates from twelve universities.
- J. Michael Losh, 57, formerly served as Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer of General Motors from July 1994 through August
2000 and as chairman of GMAC, General Motor's financial services group,
from July 1994 until April 1999.

Expands Sales and Marketing Team

has boosted its sales and marketing team by appointing four new members
of staff.
Donald Baikie, Dan Martin and Andy Phillips all join the company as areas
sales managers for the South West, South East and East England respectively
whilst Ben Culley has been appointed Brand Communications manager for
the south.

Donald Baikie originally hails from Fife in Scotland and he has worked
in the sales industry for the past 15 years. He has sold everything from
herbal remedies to decorative coatings and trained as a sales rep with
Swedish Match (formerly Swan Vesta) before going on to work with Colgate
Palmolive immediately prior to joining Heritage.
Dan Martin joins Adam Evans within the Bristol/South team (Adam has recently
been promoted to Commercial Manager for the region). Dan spent four and
a half years as a Customer Development Manger for Unilever working with
brands such as Birds Eye and Walls prior to joining Heritage.
Andy Phillips, who will work within the new Heritage region Stoke/East,
has always worked in sales. A Yorkshireman from Sheffield, Andys
career to date has encompassed selling original label baby products to
companies such as Tesco and Mothercare and (immediately prior to joining
Heritage) selling hair care products to salons throughout the UK.
Ben Culleys role will be to grow the Heritage brand by developing
dealer awareness and encouraging them to use its strengths to improve
sales. This will encompass training sales representatives on the presentation
of new products and use of marketing tools.
Ben originally hails from Weston-Super-Mare but has travelled extensively
overseas and was operations manager of a ski resort in Verbiers, Switzerland
for seven years before joining Heritage. Prior to that, however, he worked
in retail management for five years in Bristol so has considerable experience
within the retail industry.

Mouldings Distribution,
the Rochdale distribution arm of the wrapped mouldings, doors and components
manufacturer, has appointed two new sales staff to further develop the
companys expanding operations.
Jason Canavan and Andy Marshall will become Area Sales Managers in specific
areas of England and Wales.

Jason
will be responsible for the area south and east of the Midlands including
the south east and south west of England. His experience in the kitchens
and bedrooms markets comes through personal and family experience including
a sound knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Andy, based in the Midlands, will cover the area from Bristol, South Wales,
the West Midlands and north east up through Nottingham and Derby. Andys
experience in both the kitchen and bedroom markets is based in manufacturing,
distribution and retailing.
Both of the new Trade Mouldings sales members are excited by the prospects
and potential that the wide and growing product range can offer the market,
especially with the extensive stock holdings and distribution capability
of the new Rochdale centre.
Rod Bairstow who is the UK Sales Manager for Trade Mouldings Distribution
says that the new appointments represent the rapid progress made since
the centre opened just under a year ago. The market had been looking

the appointment of Paul Dayrell to Product Manager.
Paul
joined Maytag UK in 2001 as National Key Account Manager, incorporating
the responsibility for Maytag's national training programme. Paul now
takes on the role of Product Manager, working across all brands including
Amana, Maytag and Admiral, and will be responsible for all domestic appliance
product management across all markets. Paul will retain his previous responsibility
for the national training programme for Maytag retailers.
'This is a very exciting opportunity for me and one that will contribute
to the affirmation of Maytag's position as the premier supplier of genuine
American appliances in the UK. We shall continue to invest in many new
products and even new market sectors, while at the same time, listen to

Electronics Names Vice Chairman S.S.Kim as the New CEO

named Vice Chairman S.S.Kim as the new CEO on September 30th following
Mr. John Koo's resignation as LG Electronics chairman.
Since entering LG Electronics in 1969, the new CEO has been working at
the digital appliance company for 35 years. As such, he has witnessed
LG Electronics' growth. He is well known and respected as a reform-minded
businessman with outstanding leadership skills and strong drive and initiative.
In particular, he proposed the six sigma innovation and knowledge-based
management campaigns across the board, spearheading the company's reform
activities as a field-oriented entrepreneur. He likes to talk with employees,
without the air of someone who is a high-ranking company official.
Since January 2003, Mr. S.S.Kim has been serving as LG Electronics Vice
Chairman & CEO and head of digital appliance company. He was selected
as the Star of Asia for 2003 in June by the Business Week.
'I feel overwhelmed by such great responsibility. Based on Mr. John Koo's
achievements as the former chairman and CEO, however, I will do my utmost
to help LG Electronics rank among the world's top three electronics and
information communication companies by 2010,' S.S.Kim said.
Mr. John Koo is the eldest son of Mr. Koo Tae-hwoi, one of the LG founder
families. Mr. John Koo's resignation was intended to help pave the way
for the separation of four non-core affiliates - LG Cable, Kukdong City
Gas, LG-Caltex Gas and LG-Nikko Copper. LG is set to spin off LG Cable
and relevant affiliate companies in accordance with the nations
fair trade law.
Promotions
at Neff
Two
of Neff's managers - Roger Sandham
and Mike Ball - are taking up new roles of Key Account Managers within
the company. Roger and Mike - who, between them, have 25 years sales experience
with Neff will be responsible for major key accounts based North and South
of England respectively.
Roger Sandham is well known to all Neff dealers in the North of England
where he has been regional manager for 16 years, taking it to its current
turnover of £25 million.
Mike Ball has been with Neff for seven years, during which time he has
created the highest turnover area in the company and won the prestigious
TOPS award for the best overall Area Sales Manager for the last two years.
In their new roles, Roger (formerly Northern Regional Manager) and Mike
(formerly Area Sales Manager for Surrey and Sussex) will control the handling
of all Neff's high turnover multi branch accounts around the UK, allowing
the area managers to devote all their time to their independent accounts.
As a result of the promotion of Roger Sandham, Brian Jowett is taking
over as the new Regional Manager for the North of England. Brian has been
with Neff for over 10 years covering the East Midlands.
During this time he has won all the major sales awards available, including
the Ray McMillan Trophy for area manager of the year and the TOPS award
for outstanding sales management achievements within the group worldwide.
Like his senior colleagues mentioned here, Brian started his new job on
1st September and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Alan Thompson continues his successful role of Regional Manager for the
South of England as before.
New to the company meanwhile is Dean Peacock, who joins Neff as the company's
new area sales manager. He replaces Tony Garland covering the counties
of Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire and Dorset. Dean, 25, joined Neff from
national distributor Galley matrix, where he spent the last 18 months
as an area sales manager. Prior to that, he spent five years working at
the Southampton branch of Hopkinson Fourways, also on the sales side.

Anthony
Ball (24), from Walsall, has joined the company as Sales Administrator,

side of Mandarins activities, which includes distribution of the

the UK six years ago, it has twice had to move premises to cope with increased
demand.

Paul has an experienced background of overseeing similar operations internationally.
