Venus from Iris Ceramica -Six New Wall-tiling Options

Venus is a modular collection in a range of classic to modern solutions from Iris Ceramica. 'All of them contribute to creating a cosy atmosphere with a refined lightness of style.' says the company.

'Decors are the strength of Venus, the new bathroom and kitchen wall tile collection designed by Iris Ceramica. Everything verges on warm hues like sand, pink and yellow or relaxing shades like sky-blue and mint green.

'A rainbow of tones mixed with white to find the right balance between light and colour, in a collection where lightness is the leitmotif.'

The 7 7/8"x7 7/8" wall tiles have a rustic-style surface, here and there brightened with strokes of semi-gloss finish. The same play of transparency is picked up in the bands and strips that balance iridescent glazes and matt textures.

The 13 1/8"x13 1/8" glazed porcelain floor tiles (PEI wear rating class IV) are water-repellent and stain-resistant.

Attractive New Designs for Marbrex

Swish Building Products has introduced three new wall panel designs to the Marbrex decorative internal cladding system. The new additions bring the number of wall designs in the range to 16, providing a comprehensive choice with designs to suit most applications and tastes. Five ceiling panels are also available.

Peach Marble is a practical and attractive colour option to the popular Green, Grey, Beige and Dark Blue Marble ways, suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, showers, pools and spa areas.

The new, 'Touchline' panels, available in Yellow Patchwork or Beech, are designed to be applied to larger wall and ceiling areas, such as offices or reception areas, and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The panels have a thin line of contrasting colour running down the 'tongue' edge, which is complemented by inset strips that fit across the end of each panel into pre-cut grooves. This allows panels to be mounted vertically or horizontally in a number of alternative patterns.

Marbrex has an open cell structure that helps to insulate the room and reduce condensation. The panels have tongue and groove joints that do not require grouting. ‘Installation is quick and easy, taking less than half the time required for tiling. The resulting surface is easy to clean and does not harbour mould or germs.’ says the company.

Marbrex conforms to the General Hygiene Regulations, 1995 and has a Class 1 Y fire rating. It is supplied though a national network of stockists, with a selection of fixing and finishing components. Some designs will also accept ivory, gold or silver decorative strips to form distinctive highlights between panels.

Bottega d'Arte Innovations

The new Bottega d'Arte collections for bathrooms and kitchens were unveiled at the showroom in Fiorano Modenese during the last CERSAIE fair.

Pelle -The metamorphosis of ceramics
‘Conceived to go beyond the limitations of natural materials, Pelle is the symbol of a new approach to the bathroom: consider it as an oasis of relaxation and wellbeing, but more than anything else, a place where design calls the shots.’ says the company.

Pelle is a product which embodies the modern metamorphosis of ceramics and its ability to take on the characteristics of other decorative surfaces, while maintaining its high level of technical performance.

The style is played out in the aethetics of the material, with a number of design details (such as the sewing motif) which help to give the idea of being face to face with the stark elegance of real leather. The visual illusion is accompanied by a tactile one, since these surfaces offer not only the multiple nuances but also the pleasant softness of leather.

Shapes and materials - the comeback of colour
Minimal design, a range of warm bright colours and accessories reminiscent of '70s style: these are the hallmarks of a collection designed to unite the simple shapes and the moderate lines of contemporary interior decoration.

A rich interweaving of textures brings the surface of these tiles to life, counterbalancing the minimalism of the lines with an envigourating choice of colours taking the place of the neutral hues that have been in fashion over the last few years. Every shade is available in both a smooth or textured version to decorate interior walls with simple one- or two-tone combinations and innovative tile-laying patterns.

‘This is an invitation to adopt a more creative approach to ceramics, to try out new tiling patterns, to exploit the raw beauty of the material itself to adorn the interiors of your home with a touch of modern lightness.’ says the company.
