The nuisance of recycling is now an everyday problem, but we all know that it’s the right thing to do. Everyone has a different way of doing it – bags, or boxes in the kitchen, in the garden, squashed into a cupboard until the next trip to the supermarket. Even for those lucky enough to have kerbside collections, where do you store your recycled materials until the collection date? Wouldn’t it be good to be able to store your recycled material out of the way and out of sight?

The answer is here in the shape of the Compactor built-in kitchen bin range from Recycologic. The Compactor kits convert your kitchen cupboard and door into the most versatile, compacting recycling bin available.

So how does it work? Once your door is mounted onto the Compactor chassis, it rotates on the heavy duty Compactor hinge at the bottom. By simply pushing the door shut the Compactor bin compacts the contents against the bin's sloping rear wall.

Configure it to suit your recycling needs: put one big liner through all the holders or individual liners on each holder. The Compactor 400 holds up to three liners while the Compactor 500 holds up to four liners.
There is even an optional pedal for when your hands are full or dirty. It comes with the kit but if it clashes with the finishes used in the kitchen it may be omitted.

Compactor compaction rates are as follows:

Compactor 300 – fits into a 300mm wide kitchen unit.
60 litres when open, compacts to 45 litres.

Compactor 400 - fits into a 400mm wide kitchen unit.
80 litres when open, compacts to 60 litres.

Compactor 500 – fits into a 500mm wide kitchen unit.
100 litres when open, compacts to 75 litres.
