Kitchens International appoints two new showroom managers

Independent kitchen designer and retailer Kitchens International has appointed two new managers for its designer showrooms. Helen Taylor becomes showroom manager for the Glasgow showroom and Donna Smith is manager for Perth.

Helen joined KI in 2001 as a design technician, following her graduation from college with a degree in Spatial Interior Architecture & Design.

After a brief spell working for other companies as a contract design consultant and interior design manager, she returned to KI to train other designers before being appointed as a full-time employee again to manage the Perth showroom two years ago. Her move to the larger Glasgow showroom demonstrates her ability in kitchen design and managing a motivated team.

Donna began her career in the industry running a kitchens, bedroom & bathroom department in a local builder's merchants. From there she set up her own business, in the first instance servicing local developers and latterly relocating the business to the French Alps, project managing kitchen projects for chalet owners in ski resorts as well as professionals for international corporations based around Geneva and Zurich.

On her return to the UK she had a brief spell at Magnet before joining JTC Furniture Group, a local furniture manufacturer, as showroom manager/retail designer

"Both Helen and Donna bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise in designing and retailing kitchens," notes Kevin Buchanan, director at KI. "Our Perth and Glasgow showrooms are our youngest design studios but together have designed some incredible kitchens. Glasgow employs some four designers where two in Perth will assist Helen and Donna in offering some of the most stunning kitchens available in the market in Scotland."
