Abode apprentices gain their NVQ's

Abode, the renowned manufacturer in the kitchen and bathroom sector, is a proud employer of local people, in and around the Barnsley area.

Over the last three years the company has been working closely with the National Apprentice Service and First for Apprenticeships Barnsley.

Its aim, quite simply, is to help young people learn about the design, manufacture and distribution of kitchen and bathroom products, whilst also helping to support the continuing growth of the Abode business.

Regan Goddard was the first apprentice to receive his NVQ Level 2 qualification, with special focus on Warehousing and Storage.

Now, two additional apprentices, Abbie Wilkinson and Ellie McCall, have passed their NVQ2 exams in Business and Administration, with their main training being on-the-job working within the busy sales office as office administrators.

Matthew Pitt of Abode comments: "We are delighted with Abbie and Ellie's achievements and they have both been rewarded by their hard work. Providing apprenticeship roles for young people is a fantastic opportunity for us to invest in the local community and to help local individuals who are looking for opportunities to start their professional careers within business.
