Wilsonart UK and Decormax enjoy huge growth

Decormax, one of the country's leading distributors of decorative sheet materials and wood- based panel products, has notched up three hugely successful years with its own brand of Decor worktops, manufactured in partnership with Wilsonart UK.

Established in 2001, Decormax now operates nationally via three depots in Wakefield, Leicester and Bishop's Stortford. The company operates a fleet of its own Decormax delivery vehicles and has sustained remarkable growth over 15 years which have included some of the toughest trading conditions in living memory.

"Top notch customer service that offers a genuinely friendly business approach has underwritten the growth," says Decormax's sales manager, Graham Beechey.

During 2013 Decormax approached Wilsonart UK to develop a new laminate worktop brand for kitchen retailers and the building industry. Working in partnership with the designers, engineers and marketing team at Wilsonart UK's County Durham facility, the 'Decor' collection was born.

During 2016, a new and additional work surface range with a square edge profile (Decor2) was introduced, contributing to an impressive 100% increase in sales over 2015 year-to-date.

"The Decormax business has been solid right through some of the toughest years," continues Graham. "But over the last two years, and in particular since the launch of Decor with Wilsonart UK, our growth in work surfaces has been exponential. Continued growth during 2016 is predicted with no sign of slow up since Brexit and we are very confident for 2017 also."

The Decor & Decor2 worksurface ranges combined, offer 28 designs varying from classic traditional to super contemporary, all of which are available in matching splashbacks and upstands. The range also features some of Wilsonart's exclusive Aeon technology designs that offer unrivalled durability, being 3-5 times tougher than a conventional laminate surface.

"It is this viability and the overall marketing and trend-insights from Wilsonart UK that has given us such a competitive advantage," notes Graham. "Wilsonart UK is valued as a reliable and innovative key supplier to the Decormax company and will be an integral part of our growth over the next few years."
