British Ceramic Tile steps out at London Fashion Week

* BCT-Fashion-week.jpgThe world of fashion and interiors have once again united, with British Ceramic Tile stepping out in style at London Fashion Week 2016, which took place last month. The UK's leading ceramic and glass tile manufacturer, once again supported LFW, tiling the New Gen area at the show, a space dedicated to celebrating the young designers of the future.

The company, which designs and manufactures its fashion forward tile collections here in Britain, supplied 60sq.m of Colour Compendium Mono White Gloss Wall tiles in a 148 x 148mm size, and a selection of flat gloss white wall tiles in a 300 x 600mm size.

This is the second year the tile manufacturer has collaborated with LFW and is one of a series of initiatives created to communicate the company's design credentials. Recent examples include the Ted Baker event at the London Hub focusing on how fashion and interiors have become synonymous with one another, as well as the launch of the stunning new Laura Ashley collection, which blends iconic prints within a soft, muted colour palette.

Caryn Clarke, marketing director at British Ceramic Tile, says: "Fashion, trends and design are at the heart of our business, and shape the future of our product collections, which is why we take great pride in supporting LFW. An event known worldwide for launching new design talent and showcasing the best of what the fashion world has to offer, LFW is a fantastic British institution and a key highlight for our design team visiting the show, who come back filled with inspiration and ideas for the months ahead."

Fashion has long influenced interior design with the latest trends and directions from the catwalk eventually translating through into our homes. But now the two industries have collided and are mirroring each other with the latest fashion influences effortlessly filtering through into soft furnishings and decor almost instantly.

Claire O'Brien, head of design for British Ceramic Tile, adds: "Our latest designer ranges with iconic British designers such as Ted Baker and Laura Ashley are a shining example of how fashion and interiors unite.

"We all know what we choose to wear expresses our personality, and the same can be said for how we dress our homes. It all makes a statement. From soft furnishings through to lighting and tiles, every room in the home reflects a little piece of us, highlighting just how closely linked the catwalk is with interior design.

"Even the likes of Matthew Williamson and Julien MacDonald have turned their hand to interior design, launching collections that take their design cues straight from the fashion arena."

British Ceramic Tile offers the very best of British design together with quality, value and a serious approach to social and environmental responsibilities. The company supplies an extensive range of ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles as well as glass and decorative products to major multiples, national house developers and the trade, including independent tile retailers, contractors and specifiers.
