New head of channel, kitchen appointed for Whirlpool UK Appliances
Whirlpool UK Appliances has appointed Stephen Rickersey, who joined the company last month, as head of channel, kitchen. Stephen will be reporting to sales director Nick Hughes, bringing a new perspective to the company to deliver a strategy that focuses on developing premium.
Stephen was previously at Mars Petcare UK, where he was head of grocery sales, managing all grocery and discount channel customers, having joined Mars on the Graduate Scheme in 2006. He has led customer teams to number one rankings with grocery retailers and has substantial experience managing a developed grocery business in addition to new channel growth, such as discounters.
"I'm excited to be joining the Whirlpool UK Appliances team, it's a fascinating business and I look forward to working with all our customers," he says. "It's a completely new challenge versus my previous role, but one that I look forward to learning about."
The company's sales director Nick Hughes says: "I am thrilled to welcome Steve to the team. I have no doubt that with his background, experience and attitude, he is going to make a great contribution to this Kitchen Channel which is so vital to our key priorities."
