'Super WC' can reduce flush water by 25%

* Roca-W+W-SarahandSimon.JPGI'd heard about all-in-one basins/WCs, the space-saving and water-conserving designs - where the water from the basin is used to flush the loo, but I'd never seen one, so was fascinated by Roca's W+W, launched last year.

Here it is, with Roca's Simon Baker and Sarah Holey. Sarah described the W+W as a Super WC and told me that it can reduce water use by up to 25%.

Roca was also exhibiting baths of reduced depth to save water.

Sarah told me that new Roca products out at end of the month will consist of a waste water meter, called Drain News, which displays the amount of waste water that has passed through it and thus raises awareness of the need to use water sparingly.

Two WC's will also be launched:

CleanRim will deliver water via Roca Direct Flow Technology at the back of the pan - making it a very high efficiency, low water consumption WC.

Tank will be the first WC to use RocaFluidmaster Soft Air technology. This makes it very easy to install - as the wall hung or back-to wall versions do not require a concealed cistern.

These new products will be launched at the ISH conference in Frankfurt later on this month.
