Gorenje UK appoints new managing director
Gorenje, has announced the appointment of Iztok Krulc as the new managing director of its UK business. Iztok will take the helm at Wimbledon-headquartered Gorenje UK where he will develop strategic plans to boost the company's profit and efficiencies.
Other responsibilities involve developing client relations and coordinating the efforts of the various departments - including legal, finance, marketing and sales - to meet company goals.
"It is an exciting time to be a part of the Gorenje brand as we look to accelerate its presence in the UK with some exciting announcements due in the coming months," he says.
Iztok brings a wealth of experience in the kitchen appliance industry, joining from Gorenje's premium global kitchen appliance brand, Asko, in Sweden, where he spent five years developing its sales and marketing strategy. This included direct relations with the Gorenje and Asko clients and colleagues in the EMEA region.
"Gorenje is one of the few global Slovenian companies with a heritage of more than 65 years and is successful across several key European countries.," he explains. "I'm really looking forward to using my international experience to grow the business in the UK."
Prior to Asko, Iztok spent a year with Gorenje Slovenia after completing an MBA in International Business and Administration at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.
