OHSAS 18001 certification for British Tile Manufacturer

British Ceramic Tile is proud to announce its recent certification to OHSAS 18001:2007 - the internationally recognised assessment specification for occupational health & safety management systems.

This further promotes British Ceramic Tile's safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows the company to consistently identify and control health & safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.

Sitting alongside ISO9001 and ISO14001, this certification is another step towards a fully Integrated Management System and further demonstrates British Ceramic Tile's commitment to continuous improvement across all aspects of the business.

"Customers can be assured that tiles purchased from British Ceramic Tile are produced in a safe working environment and in compliance with all applicable health & safety legislation," says Andrew Bray, British Ceramic Tile's IMS Manager. "This certification demonstrates that we take the health, safety and welfare of our employees very seriously; this commitment is further demonstrated by the significant financial investment made during the past year to improve the workplace and equipment."
