'Transitional Living' with open-plan kitchens by Rotpunkt

* Transitional.jpgRotpunkt is answering the demand for transitional living: where traditional and contemporary design coalesce to become one unified interior solution.

Bringing a well-balanced fusion of 'classic meets modern', the traditional features of this kitchen are defined by Rotpunkt's Pastel Smoke Oak shaker-style cabinetry with one-panel design door and drawer fronts.

In contrast, its linear profile, stark white accent storage and open-plan arrangement all satisfy more contemporary ideals, where simple sharp lines typify the modern kitchen.

Seamlessly combining traditional and contemporary styling, this cutting-edge kitchen concept by Rotpunkt is designed with discreet organisation in mind.

Providing ample hidden storage, the once bare wall is now home to four tall housing units which are framed by a highly contemporary open shelving system. Each Oak unit elegantly conceals a variety of interior storage solutions and kitchen appliances to ensure the overall look is sympathetic to its open-plan setting.

The central island unit defines the kitchen area from the living space, becoming a practical workstation and hub for cooking, cleaning and hiding away cookware and kitchen utensils. Designed with a built-in undermounted kitchen sink, single lever kitchen mixer and flush mounted induction hob, the island unit also adds essential storage too with its two pull-out drawers and three mid-level base units.

The shaker-style drawers are designed with fully extendable drawer systems and soft-close hinges for smooth linear movement and a high degree of usability.

"By combining juxtaposing storage options in an open plan kitchen living scheme, you will be able to maximise both the design and storage possibilities of the kitchen," says Matt Phillips, head of UK operations of Rotpunkt UK. "An amalgamation of traditional and contemporary styles will create a timeless look that benefits the home, lifestyle, personal taste and budget."

All Rotpunkt kitchens are made using BioBoard: 37% less timber - thereby conserving more of our natural forests without compromising on product quality and stability. A sustainable, green and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional chip boards - without sacrificing quality - it offers up to 30% weight reduction so is easier to handle too.

Rotpunkt is an established, highly reputable manufacturer with a quality product and impressive mid-level pricing structure. It offers over 100 different door front styles for the height of design flexibility, all available in over 100 different colours plus RAL, six handleless kitchen options and 26 cabinet colours.
