New magic box: innovative first-fix solution for thermostatic shower solutions from VitrA
Designed to make the installation of built-in bath and shower mixers fast and simple, V-Box from VitrA is the new generation of standard and thermostatic shower solutions. The box can be used with X-Line, Pure, Nest and Suit brassware from VitrA and is the ideal money and time saving choice for both installers and consumers.
The box is just 146mm wide and contains a concealed universal valve that can be used for up to three-way outlets - making the combination of a bath filler, overhead shower and hand shower possible and simple.
The box needs a 66mm recess to fit into the wall. It has two elementsn- the concealed section that fits behind the wall and the exposed part that allows for easy installation of the brassware. It can be fitted at the first-fix stage before the walls are plastered so brassware, which is the high value part of shower installation, can be retrofitted when convenient. This reduces the risk of site theft and of damage to high value fittings.
After tiling or wall cladding is completed, the front of the box is trimmed to the required depth and the brassware is fitted. The compatible brassware selection includes built in thermostatic bath/shower mixers, manual and thermostatic shower mixers, and a three-way diverter. It is also possible to swap the exposed section if showering requirement change making V-Box adaptable and future-proof.
