The kitchen of the future : Magnet and Samsung launch Smart Kitchen

Magnet understands that life can be hectic sometimes, and families are in need of innovations that can save them precious time.

All of Magnet's products and innovations are designed to help busy families in four simple ways; to save time and energy, organise, entertain and stay in control. That is why Magnet has partnered up with Samsung to introduce the new Smart Kitchen.

Whether it's ovens that notify the cook's phone when dinner is ready, or fridges the household's occupants can see inside from thier mobiles, Magnet's innovations and Samsung Home Appliances are designed to do the hard work.

The Family Hub American style smart fridge freezer has internal cameras offering a variety of features to help life flow better in the Magnet kitchen. Householders can peek inside their fridge with their phone using the in-built cameras and keep track of the stock of groceries and their expiry dates to help better organise the weekly shop or plan that day's menue. They can also buy groceries directly from the Family Hub touchscreen and stay on top of everyone's schedules with the live family calendar on the fridge door. Additionally, those at home can play music or mirror what's on the TV to carry on watching their favourite show and stay entertained while those all-important family meals are prepared and served.

Cooking is made easy without the kerfuffle, using the Multifunction Oven with Gourmet Technology. This Samsung connected oven saves time and energy by sending a notification to the cook's phone when dinner is ready, and the settings can be controlled remotely from a mobile to take the stress out of cooking. Plus, with the 'Smart Things' app, users can send recipes straight to the Magnet kitchen and share the instructions to the oven via WiFi, taking the hassle out of meal planning.

The Samsung hob and hood are equipped with Auto Connectivity technology meaning the hood turns on automatically when the hob is turned on, for perfect synchronicity.

The WaterWall dishwasher produces a sweeping wall of jet-powered water that delivers outstanding cleaning coverage every time, freeing up valuable time and saving energy. It also detects and diagnoses its own problems by notifying the householder of solutions via their phone.

The family can be kept entertained in the heart of the home with the USB charging tray, tablet stand and the Sound Bar, a sound system that blends seamlessly into cabinets and provides the kitchen with superior sound, while life can be made easier and safer with the Cabinet Plus, a hidden compartment at the back of the wall cabinets that pulls down with the aid of a motor to reveal a beautifully presented storage area.

A Smart Kitchen designed for the future needn't be devoid of character or ultra-modern, and will blend easily with traditional shaker styles, as seen in the Dunham Midnight and Dunham Dove Grey Magnet kitchens. Introducing useful tech like Magnet's innovations and Samsung Home Appliances into the kitchen will help families stay in control of busy lives whilst still feeling like a traditional family home on the surface.
