Exciting plans in store for Moores and Roux Kitchens

* Exciting-plans.jpgMoores and Michel Roux Jr. have announced big plans for the Roux Kitchen collection which include wider distribution to premium housebuilders and selected kitchen retailers, new colours in the collection and R&D into how it can further meet consumer needs.

Michel Roux Jr. visited the Moores factory in Wetherby, West Yorkshire in early April where he spent one-on-one time with the highly qualified teams that work on the Roux Kitchen collection.

During the visit, he met with several different departments and even learnt how to expertly spray cabinet doors in the Moores factory which has gained multiple environmental and safety awards over the past three years.

"It was a pleasure to spend time with the Moores team at its impressive headquarters," he says. "It's important for me that this collection meets the high demands I would expect from a professional style kitchen and with its attention to detail, Moores continues to get it right."

Steve Parkin, CEO of Moores Furniture Group, says: "2019 will be an exciting year for Roux Kitchens. With this range Moores can offer a unique kitchen solution for penthouses, luxury projects and executive housebuilders looking for an extra-special point of difference that is truly unique and exciting.

"We are currently talking to a small collection of kitchen retailers.

"The Roux Kitchen delivers incredible attention to detail, from clever storage ideas to high-end design detailing. It was built using insights directly from consumers to ensure every aspect addresses a need in the market and has been very well-received since its first launch in 2017.

"The essence of the brand is about creating a luxury, premium quality kitchen that is attainable for consumers and prospective buyers in the new homes market. Roux Kitchen will continue to be made with the highest quality components, materials, appliances and accessories sourced from our impressive roster of kitchen brands partners."

The Roux Kitchen collection meets the demands of a world class professional chef. The kitchen is the first truly premium, bespoke offering for the housebuilding market in the UK from a large-scale kitchen manufacturer and in partnership with a world class professional chef. The Roux Kitchen was designed after insights from housebuilders revealed a growing need for a premium, luxurious and professional-inspired kitchen for up-market and luxury developments

Last year, Roux Kitchen was specified for all nine of the WhatHouse? Award 2018 winner Duchy Homes' exclusive five-bedroom houses in the recently launched Cygnet Gardens development on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. The development was one of the first in the north of the UK to feature the Roux Kitchen.

Jim Cropper, Yorkshire Managing Director for Duchy Homes even commented that it formed the best show home he had ever seen: "If I had to score it, it would be 11 out of 10, the best show home I have seen in 40 years in the industry."
