BMA announces motivational speaker for 2019 Conference

* BMA-speaker.jpgThe Bathroom Manufacturers Association has named Ellis Watson, executive chairman and former CEO of DC Thomson, one of the leading media organisations in the UK, as a speaker at the 2019 Bathroom & Kitchen Business Conference.

Ellis will open the conference with a motivational presentation using his experiences from rebranding, overhauling, reinvigorating and expanding a number of different businesses from entertainment to transport.

Ellis began his career in newspapers, he was managing director at The Sun and later at Mirror Group Newspapers. As global CEO of Simon Cowell's Syco Corporation, Ellis took an array of record labels and programme formats, including the X Factor and Got Talent formats, to international success. Whilst at DC Thomson, he has helped steer a traditional, family run firm into a resilient, future-proofed organisation by transforming the group's business models, brands and commercial direction, including expanding into the digital and data domains.

BMA CEO Yvonne Orgill says of the signing: "We are delighted that Ellis will be opening the conference. He is known as one of the most inspiring, intelligent and entertaining keynote speakers in the country. Delegates can look forward to a presentation that will be brimming with humour and original thinking.

"This year's conference will focus on current topics that have a real impact on business, providing valuable information so that delegates are better equipped to face the challenges of the 'Brave New World'.

"Tickets are selling fast, so save the date and book soon."
