An induction of range cookers creates a climate change for retailers

* Inhouse.jpgFor many years, gas hobs have been favoured by both home and professional chefs but increasing concerns over the impact of fossil fuel and the impact on climate change is turning attention to induction cooking. For forward thinking consumers with traditional values, a combination of the much-loved range cooker with the undeniable benefits of the induction hob, is an increasingly appealing proposition.

Italian brand Steel Cucine has combined the benefits of induction with the appeal of expertly crafted range cookers, manufactured with pedigree. By combining tradition with technology and contemporary style, the Enfasi and Oxford collections are perfectly tailored to fit in every style of home.

"The best range cookers last for many years and as a long-term investment, retailers must help consumers make purchasing decisions that match their vision and values," says Wayne Dance, managing director of InHouse, who represents Steel Cucine in the UK. "It's recognising social shifts and being able to offer the highest standard appliances that help independent retailers build reputation and growth".

Induction may have been around for a few years, but lack of design acumen, manufacturing heritage and a true understanding to the real benefits, has hindered adoption, but this is changing rapidly.

With plans to ban gas boilers from new homes from 2025 and indication that the gas hob may be culled in just 6 years, increasing numbers of UK consumers will be keen to reduce their carbon footprint. The focus is now on the bigger picture and a new era of professional range cookers that combine aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency, faster cooking time, reduced cleaning and heightened safety are now seen as additional benefits.

Merging tradition with technology, contemporary style with manufacturing, the Enfasi and Oxford collections from Steel Cucine, retain the pedigree of high-quality freestanding range cookers and benefit the energy efficient induction hobs. The result is traditional quality with modern values. The Italians bring family together through a love of cooking, the Steel Cucine range cookers with induction hobs fits right into the heart of modern life.

Benefits of Induction hobs:

Energy efficient... Electro-magnetic activity in the hob top triggers electro-magneticity in the pan. With the heat created in the pan, it takes less time for food to attain the right temperature (25% to 50% less time on average). With the traditional gas hob, heat radiates beneath and around the pan, increasing both time and energy wastage.

Temperature control... Induction hobs afford precision temperature adjustment, creating more responsive regulation than gas hobs. This increases the flexibility in cooking, whilst reducing the risk of food and fluids burning or boiling over.

Safety... With no gas flame, fire risk is decreased. Pans cool down as soon as the heat source is turned off, or the pan removed, minimising potential damage to work surfaces. With surface temperature reduced almost instantly, it's ideal for any home with young children, or older family members.

Cleaning... The induction top seldom gets very hot, so food rarely burns on it. A quick wipe over with a sponge is all that is needed.

The Enfasi collection with energy efficient induction hob, retains the pedigree of expertly crafted range cookers, with the streamlined appeal of integrated appliances. A clever design, with a 78cm body height and easily adjustable feet allow for a plinth to run continuously along modern cabinets.
