Tile Depot winds back tile prices for Newbury

Tile Depot, the UK's largest independent tile, stone and wood retailer, has opened a brand new store in Newbury, Berks.

Tile Depot's 18th branch occupies Unit 1 on Newbury Trade Park, a prominent position on the Hambridge Road near Jewson's, and is easily identified displaying the retailer's distinctive yellow and green signage. Tile Depot is a totally new type of tile store for Newbury and Thatcham featuring inspirational room-like displays throughout and a massive choice of the latest wall and floor tiles to suit all tastes, from budget ranges to designer collections. The new store has created three jobs for local people.

To celebrate the opening, prices are being wound back with a number of special Opening Offers, saving customers up to 80% off a selection of popular ranges in ceramic, porcelain and natural stone and there are over 100 other tiles at half price.

At Tile Depot in Newbury, customers can buy kitchen wall tiles from just £2.99 per square metre - equivalent to the cost of four pints of milk and a loaf of bread, or an average pint of lager*.

Included in the Opening Offers at this incredible price are the glossy Eas Silk White 10x10cm kitchen wall tile, usually £14 and the Country Kitchen Grey tile for kitchen walls, also 10x10cm and usually £15 per square metre.

Ceramic tiles for walls and floors start at just £4.99 per square metre with some excellent examples for floors such as the 45x45cm Ares Grey and the textured Transit Black of the same size. And for walls, the Opening Offers at £4.99sqm include popular tiles in classic neutral tones such as the 20x25cm Iryda Matt Beige tile and the 31.6x45cm Fuste Beige Glossy tile with its subtle marble-effect appeal, usually £16.03 per square metre.

Tile Depot's Opening Offers also provide a choice of porcelain tiles for walls and floors from £8.99 per square metre with the Valencia 50x50cm beige nano porcelain tile and the attractive Slate White 40.6x60.8cm tile with its creamy-white colour and natural slate effect finish. Natural stone also features in the Opening Offers, from just £16.99 with the popular 61x40.6cm Travertine Honed & Filled natural stone tile.

Customers can also save an extra 10% with a printable discount voucher available to download from the Newbury page of Tile Depot's online store locator.

The whole shopping experience is easy at Tile Depot with professional staff to offer expert advice, the retailers' useful 'Loan a Tile' and 'Buy Back Unused Tiles' services and in-store 'lifestyle' displays to help customers visualise their finished rooms, demonstrating what can be achieved by using combinations of tiles in different sizes and colours with mosaics, borders, trims and decorative tiles for various effects.

Justin Coyle, manager of Tile Depot's Newbury store is experienced in the role having spent nearly 20 years in the tile trade, the last couple as manager of the Basingstoke branch of Tile Depot. Justin says: "We're thrilled to open the Newbury store of Tile Depot. We provide the best choice of tiles in the UK and the Tile Depot Price Promise ensures customers the best value at all times, but the Opening Offers are really amazing with a square metre of kitchen wall tiles for the cost of a pint and probably three square metres of ceramic tiles for the equivalent of a takeaway for two. For the price of a night out, most of our customers could buy the tiles for their whole bathroom!"

In addition to wall and floor tiles to take away today, Tile Depot stocks laminate and real wood flooring, underfloor heating and all tiling tools and accessories. Also available from Tile Depot are the ultra-modern enki range of sleek glass splashbacks and upstands, and the trend-setting Dune tile collection.

The branch in Newbury is the third new Tile Depot store to open this year. There are now 18 Tile Depot stores throughout London and the South East - in Aylesbury, Basingstoke, Bedford, Crawley, Cricklewood, Edgware, Enfield, Greenford, Hanwell, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes, Newbury, Slough, Tonbridge, Uxbridge, Watford, Wembley and Whetstone - all open seven days a week, from 8am till 6pm on weekdays.
