HiB wins prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2020

* Globe-Plus-80-roomset.jpgLeading bathroom supplier HiB has been honoured with a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the innovation category.

With a Head Office in New Southgate, North London and its National Distribution Centre, based near Tamworth, Staffs, HiB is one of only 220 organisations to be recognised nationally with this ‘Award of Awards’, which highlights businesses that have outstanding industry achievements.

* Inspire-House.jpgHiB has been identified for its excellence in innovation, which is central to the ongoing success of the company. Its dedicated product development teams are continuously creating new and exciting product designs, which challenge traditional perceptions of bathroom mirrors and cabinets.

Each of the company's products is designed with customers in mind and combines stunning design aesthetics with the latest technologies. This uniting of style and substance takes the bathroom space to a whole new level, not only improving the overall appearance but also enhancing user-experience.

"This is an incredible achievement for HiB and is a fitting testament to the hard work, creativity and vision of all our employees across our 30-year history,” enthuses HiB managing director, Robert Ginsberg.

* Verve 80 roomset.jpg"As a company, our vision has always been to be the leading supplier of innovative, creative solutions which make bathrooms beautiful, whilst making a substantial difference to the lives of our people, partners and the world we live in. We thrive on developing new products which present an added 'wow' factor, but also feature the very best technology to make their experience all that more exciting.

"It is wonderful that HiB has been recognised as part of the Queens Award for Enterprise and we are looking forward to focusing our energies into developing more innovations in the future."

* QAE Logo.jpgNow in its 54th year, the Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning companies able to use the esteemed Queen's Awards emblem for the next five years and can display the esteemed Queen's emblem across their branding to demonstrate their success. In addition, The Queens Awards flag can be flown at their main office and the emblem can be used on all marketing materials including packaging, advertisements, stationery and websites.

Her Majesty The Queen selects the awards on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee, including representatives of the Government, industry and commerce.

The Queen's Award for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses and are designed to recognise outstanding achievements in the fields of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility).

This year marks the 54th Anniversary of the awards and to celebrate, 220 UK businesses have been recognised for their contribution to their particular industry. HiB has been named among 66 other companies that have been identified for successes in innovation, which is assessed using specific criteria such as: invention, design, production of goods; performance of services; marketing and distribution.

Due to the significance of the Queen's Award for Enterprise, many winning companies benefit from international respect and greater opportunities for global trade. The accolade offers a unique platform to showcase a company's capabilities, contribution to wider society and strategy for future growth.

* Warren Ginsberg.jpgThe Queen's Awards scheme was instituted by Royal Warrant in 1965 and the first Awards were made in 1966. After the winners have been decided upon, the successful companies are then notified and invited to a formal ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The Award will be officially given to HiB by one of The Queen's representatives, a Lord-Lieutenant, who will present a Grant of Appointment (an official certificate) and a commemorative crystal trophy at the company offices.

With competition fierce amongst businesses applying for the Award, being acknowledged as a winner is a significant achievement that emphasises a company's expertise and accomplishments in their industry on the UK stage.

Since HiB was established in the 1990s, the company has grown significantly. From humble roots as a fledgling business founded by chairman Warren Ginsberg, to a 100 plus-strong operation with a HO in New Southgate, North London and a 85,000sq.ft national distribution centre near Tamworth in the Midlands, the company has been responsible for many bathroom industry 'firsts'.

HiB has pioneered numerous product innovations including colour changing technology, steam-free mirrors, LED lighting in mirrors and cabinets featuring Bluetooth and USB integration. All new concepts are designed by the company's product development team, who ensure that each range adheres to the company philosophy of only bringing to market products which answer a genuine need.

Managing director, Robert Ginsberg along with the entire HiB workforce, is committed to driving growth and success through future product innovations and developments. The company has a long-term strategy to increase sales worldwide with reinvestment in technology, infrastructure and employee experience at the heart of its approach.
