New channel director at Whirlpool UK Appliances
Whirlpool UK Appliances, the home of Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands, has appointed Russell Owens as channel director.
Russell joins the Whirlpool team with a wide and in-depth knowledge of the white goods and electronics industries, from previous roles including sales and marketing director at Samsung Electronics. During his 12 years at Samsung, Russell implemented marketing and channel strategies for its portfolio of white goods, while building and maintaining relationships with major retailers.
In his new role, Russell will work closely with housebuilders, the contract market, kitchen specialists and distributors that serve kitchen studios. Russell aims to provide appliance solutions for a range of property and kitchen styles that will appeal to a variety of demographics with his overall objective to grow the company's share in both the contract and kitchen specialist markets.
"With our strong portfolio of brands and products, an award winning in-house logistics service, as well as dedicated after-sales and customer care teams, we plan to increase our success in both the contract and kitchen specialist channels,” says Russell.
“The kitchen needs to be a fully adaptable environment suitable for family life, entertaining and relaxing. It must offer the homeowner a functional space that is as easy to use as it is beautiful.
