TTA invites nominations for 2012 Awards

The Tile Association has announced that it is now inviting nominations for the 2012 TTA Awards. The event, which will be taking place on Saturday, 21st April 2012 at the Hilton Hotel in Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre complex, rewards the products, people, businesses and projects in the tile industry.

The Tile Association Awards are the only awards ceremony for the UK tiling industry, recognising both TTA members and non-members alike who have excelled within their field. Not only is entering the TTA awards a great way for a company to increase its profile in the industry for free, but previous winners have also seen business flourish following their success.

The TTA Awards are divided into 22 categories:

People: Outstanding contribution to the industry, Tile fixer of the year, Employee of the year, Trainee of the year

Projects: Best use of tile in the public sector, Best use of tile in the private sector, Best use of tile by a house developer, Best technical use of tile in a contract, Best use of tile within the leisure or hospitality industry, Best use of tile in a private house, Most innovative tile installation

Environment: Best environmental initiative

Marketing: Excellence in marketing

Products: Wall tile of the year, Floor tile of the year, Best natural product, Best innovation

Business: Excellence in independent retailing, Excellence in multiple retailing, Excellence in tile distribution, Excellence in tile contracting, Excellence in manufacturing

The deadline for entries is 19th December 2011. When the date for entries has closed, a panel of industry judges, containing representatives from The Tile Association, will review every entry and announce a shortlist of the best entries in each category.

The winners will be announced at the TTA Awards Dinner on 21st April in Birmingham.

The Tile Association represents all aspects of the wall and floor tile industry in the UK, from manufacture to installation. It is dedicated to the advancement of all sectors of the tile industry and delivers real advantages to its members and their customers. It is committed to raising standards of product, installation, sales, training and promotion across the industry.
