Baumatic and the China Connection

Baumatic has extended its global reach, assuming full ownership and control of its
Chinese manufacturing division in Shunde. Having made the leap from joint partner to exclusive proprietor in early September, Baumatic will now roll out its programme for European innovation to China and the rest of Asia.

Although Europe will remain at the heart of the production process, with the product team continuing to design and manufacture through the company's main European factories, this new acquisition will have a significant impact, enabling Baumatic to strengthen the brand's worldwide identity by securing the creation of a cohesive global range of products that offer all Baumatic's top defining features.

With full control over production, Baumatic can guarantee the best of both worlds to its customers - the brand's trademark breakthrough technology and flair for design, as well as the competitive edge for which China is renowned. Ownership of the division will also help supersize the company's manufacturing capability, enabling it to meet and exceed the growing demands for efficient mass production anywhere in the world.

Baumatic has already relocated to a larger, more equipped factory, wasting no time in tapping into the full potential of a young manufacturing unit that has created award-winning appliances such as the Baumatic P632 Black Stainless Steel Oven.

Summing up the significance of the move, Baumatic Group President, Enzo Balestrazzi says: "With this acquisition, we can up the ante in the white goods manufacturing industry by offering as standard, exceptional European quality across all markets, but at a much more competitive rate.

"We can also ensure the production of a global range of first-class products that are instantly recognisable as Baumatic.

"Europe might remain our most important manufacturing base, but that doesn't mean to say that we shouldn't continue to push boundaries, and set the bar higher for the Chinese production process."
