New UK designed and manufactured linear drain wetroom base kit launched
Wetrooms On-Line has launched its own branded linear drain wetroom kit comprising a pre-formed base, available in three sizes, its dedicated drain, waterproofing materials, fittings and six tile backer boards.
Designed solely for the UK market and manufactured in the UK exclusively for Wetrooms on Line, the Linear Wetbase has a drain trough that is integral to the base itself, built into the base during manufacture. It offers a choice of up to three drain positions - helping the installer to avoid joists - making it what could well be the easiest linear drain wetbase to install.
The kit - with its pre-formed wetbase, fast flow drain, stainless steel drain cover, 8Kg tub of PCI Lastogum tanking/waterproofing, 10m sealing tape, primer and cutting tool - contains all that is required to create a reliable, modern looking, walk-in shower.
The company decided to develop its own branded Linear Base Kit to plug a perceived gap in the market for a quality product designed solely for the UK market and offering better value for money than whaat was available elsewhere.
Wetrooms On-Line says it is the fastest growing UK based internet company specialising in wetroom materials and products. To date it has focussed on standard drain options in a wide range of sizes supplying both trade customers and the DIY market. Sales growth has been substantial particularly over the past 12 months for its wetbases, screens and digital showers. The thinking behind the development of the linear product is to make available to its customers - in a single purchase - everything needed to create a linear style wetroom or wet area that is both easy to fit and price competitive.
The kit also includes six 1200 x 600 x 10mm tile backer boards to make it easy to construct a tiled surface across the rest of the room that is level with the height of the tiled Wetbase. Extra boards are available on request. The base, which is 30mm thick at the edges falling to 15mm around the drain itself, can be tiled with either mosaic or large format tiles.
The kit comes with full detailed installation instructions and Wetrooms On Line call centre staff are available to answer any technical questions arising during fitting. The Linear Wetbase can be fitted on wooden or concrete floors.
Three sizes are available-1200 x 900, 1000 x 1000 or 1500 x 900 and delivery is normally within three working days of placing an order.
