Inta welcomes retailer's dedicated healthcare division

Anti-scald bathroom equipment manufacturer Inta is encouraging bathroom merchants to follow the lead of online retailer Notjusttaps, after it announced the launch of a division dedicated to healthcare washroom products on its site.

Inta specialises in TMV2 and TMV3 compliant thermostatic mixing valves, taps and showers, all of which feature its innovative anti-scald technology. The company, which has spent a decade campaigning for greater anti-scald education, successfully lobbied for changes to building regulations in the UK that make the fitting of TMV2 valves in all new bathrooms compulsory.

Darran Bougourd, sales director at Inta, says: "We cannot emphasise enough how important specialist products are in and beyond the healthcare setting. The technology to completely remove the threat of scalding in the bathroom exists, but too few are pushing to get the message out there.

"It is refreshing to see retailers such as Notjusttaps prioritising these products by helping purchasers understand which products perform to maximum safety capacity. It is certainly setting a great example, as the market can be crowded and very confusing.

"We'd like to see more merchants clarifying the safety credentials of these products. We have produced over 200,000 anti-scald booklets and offer online courses for installers, but unless these products are accessible and searchable, our work is left behind at the door."
