Rearo expands top selling Selkie Range into the kitchen for 2013

selkie 2013.jpgRearo, Scotland's top-notch provider of laminated and solid surface materials, has launched a completely new look to its Selkie Board range.

Originally created exclusively for bathroom usage, Selkie Board now offers so much more, thanks to a project undertaken by Rearo's Selkie team of product manager, Norman McLeod and in-house interior design specialist Tracey Gibson. The pair have created a new range which can now be effectively incorporated within the kitchen, as well as bath, shower and wet rooms. The soon to be unveiled range includes an array of ultra-chic and contemporary as well as vintage designs and colours, all still very much with price in mind.

"Due to the economic climate, consumers are looking for products that have the appearance of top end market but with a recognised amount of reduction in the price and we believe the new Selkie range is perfect for instantly and cost-effectively transforming any bathroom, kitchen - or, indeed, utility area," explains Norman McLeod.

Selkie Board is believed to be unique in fitting the bill for bathrooms and kitchens, especially as it takes away forever, the problem of mouldy grout which often appears in tiling. As well as the obvious use within the shower or bathroom area, Selkie Board can be used to great effect as a kitchen splashback - again a great alternative to tiles.

"We have hand-selected 33 colours, incorporating 19 brand new options including Juicy Pink and Lime Zest for modern day living, and more classic Arctic and Ebony Flowers, for those who prefer a more traditional approach to interior design. Our product is both durable and practical and unlike tiles where, regardless of daily cleaning, mouldy grout unfailingly appears over time, Selkie has the added benefit of offering a lifelong hygienic appearance and is guaranteed to look fresh and clean at all times."

Selkie is distributed in Scotland by Tayfirth, while in England, Claygate of Kent and Smiths Briten, of Bolton, have been appointed as distributors.
Says Gareth Jones, Trading Director of Smith Briten:

"Having been with the Selkie product for over 12 months, we are delighted and very excited with the new finishes.

"We are confident these innovative options will be very well received by our many customers - and as well as the new colours, it is important that our customers are fully aware of the many benefits of the Selkie products. This now gives our customers even more reason to display and promote Selkie products... Innovation not imitation."

Malcolm Thomas, Sales Director of Claygate adds:

"Claygate has been supplying Selkie shower panels for past 18 months. The quality and variety of finishes of this product really do set it aside from the competition and the range of colours offered caters for everyone's individual taste.

"Selkie is a truly vibrant range that really gives it a European flavour. The next time I am refurbishing my bathroom it is number one on my list. The only problem is deciding which of the wonderful finishes to use!"
