Interiors UK starts on Sunday

* Nina-Campbell.jpgInteriors UK 2013 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before, offering retailers, designers and architects a vast selection of products from over 600 of the leading international interiors manufacturers. The event takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 20th to 23rd January.

Modern retailing is the overarching theme for the 2013 show with many beautiful retailer display areas curated by a mix of designers throughout the show and main entrances. Organiser UBM is thrilled that this year's leading designer is interiors legend, Nina Campbell who will be creating the entrance hall as well as hosting a feature space in Hall 3. "Nina is thrilled to be designing the entrance hall at the Interiors UK show," it says. "On arrival, expect to be transported back in time to a magical and mysterious English winter's forest. The individual halls will be defined by one of Nina's loves; colour.

Expect a marriage of traditional, well-loved and opulent designs with a new, fresh and contemporary colour palette."

2013 will see the return of designersblock who will be using their creative talent to create a totally new store concept, brand and identity - the designersblock department store. This giant feature will include a concoction of departments featuring furniture, accessories, toys, lighting and lots more, all sourced from designersblock's vast network of young designers and design makers. The area will also house the regular features of the show such as New Design Britain, Birmingham City University, Interiors UK'sSeminar Theatre, the VIP lounge and press office.

Interiors UK is renowned for orchestrating informative, thought-provoking seminars and talks during the show and 2013 will be no exception. The line-up is set to explore the future of retail with talks from the likes of Nayna Macintosh (Marks & Spencer's Director of Store Design), Jonathan Webb (Retail in Action), Stylus, Mark Hughes-Webb (Brandhub), Nic Cumisky (Google), Callum Lumsden (Lumsden Design), Melinda Ashton Turner (Stylist - talking about visual merchandising) and Nina Campbell (pictured).

Another new addition to the 2013 show is the wifi cafe together with a Pitfield pop up shop. Pitfield recently made an appearance at Tent London during this year's London Design Festival and will be re-emerging at Interiors UK in Hall 4. Pitfield is an eclectic interior design shop and cafe in Shoreditch, London, owned by designers Shaun Clarkson and Paul Brewster.
