Eco-friendly comfort from ClearGreen

Eco-friendly credentials and comfort-focused design combine in baths from ClearGreen. The range, another in the Bathroom Brands portfolio, includes contemporary freestanding designs, shower baths and single and double ended baths.

The baths are made from a strong acrylic material that will support up to 2.3 tonnes. The acrylic contains 30% recycled material and is so thermally efficient it will keep bath water warm for 30 minutes longer than a standard bath - reducing the need for top ups. Over a week of family bathing, this can add up to worthwhile energy savings.

A hot bath is a great way to ease aches and pains - but only if the bath itself is designed to be comfortable. ClearGreen baths are - wherever possible - shaped to keep the leg to spine angle at 113-135 degrees - which according to the New Ergonomics movement is the perfect position for the body!

There's something for every bathroom in this collection, ranging from elegant freestanding models that will create an impact in any contemporary bathroom to single and double ended designs to suit spaces from compact to generous. The shower bath collection is equally versatile and includes models with both circular and square shower areas.

There is a range of complementary bath screens for the shower baths and for use with double and single ended baths where an over bath shower is fitted.

To accompany the baths, ClearGreen has designed two sleek, modern brassware collections that include both floor and deck mounted fillers and bath shower mixers. There's also a comprehensive collection of 35mm deep shower trays in rectangular, square and quadrant shapes. All trays are fitted with a high flow waste that will deal with up to 40 litres of water a minute.

"A lot of intelligent thought has gone into this collection," says the company's Darren Allison. "We are very proud of the energy saving aspects of the range - especially the fact that these baths keep water warmer longer. The more hot water you use, the bigger your energy bills will be.

"The ergonomic design is important too. A bath that puts the spine in the wrong position can be a contributory factor to backache - and bad backs are currently the biggest cause of absence from work in the UK."
