Keyline pumps up the volume for prostate cancer UK with European Jukebox Rally

* Northfleet-Launch.jpgKeyline Builders Merchants, is set to embark on a music themed European adventure as it teams up with Prostate Cancer UK to drive across Europe in the Jukebox Rally.

The teams will start the rally at the Keyline branch in Northfleet, Kent, on 26th June, having to get to Barcelona and back within the four days allowed. Each of the 26 teams will be dressed up as their favourite music group and travel in an assortment of musically branded cars - but cannot use a sat nav or travel on any major main roads.

Entries so far have been received from Keyline and other parts of the Travis Perkins Group as well as Keyline suppliers Marshalls, Lafarge Cement, The Cartwright Group, Polypipe, CPM, Aco Technologies, Jungheinrich UK and Aggregate Industries.

Keyline Managing Director Andrew Harrison, who will be taking part alongside his co-pilot Gareth Twohey, will be driving a Peugeot 306 cabriolet, purchased for £299.99. It has been branded 'The Keyline Yellow Cabriolet', inspired by their shared love of The Beatles.

Keyline has worked in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK since 2010 and is hoping to raise over £100,000 during the five day rally. Since the beginning of the partnership, Keyline has raised over £675,000 for the charity.

Andrew says: "Each year our rallies keep getting bigger and better and this year's Keyline Jukebox Rally looks set to be another fantastic experience. After the success of the Thunderball Rally in 2012, this year's Jukebox Rally will be a sight to behold and will hopefully raise even more much needed funds and awareness of prostate cancer and the fantastic work that Prostate Cancer UK does."

Mark Bishop, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, will be taking part in the Jukebox Rally alongside Chief Executive, Owen Sharp. Mark says: "Keyline's commitment to literally go that extra mile has raised more than £675,000 since we began working with them and the Jukebox Rally is set to be another road trip with a difference. All funds raised have helped the charity provide its research programmes and vital support services to help more men survive the disease and enjoy a better quality of life."

Andrew adds: "Everyone within Keyline is very proud of our relationship with Prostate Cancer UK. The charity does fantastic work and it's great that we can take part in events like this to raise much needed funds for a great cause. The partnership gives us an opportunity to engage with staff, suppliers and customers but, more importantly, helps increase the awareness of the effects of prostate cancer in men's health."

You will be able to follow each team and their challenges through Twitter and Facebook and the teams would be grateful for donations.
