The SBID and Think Global Consultancy announce partnership with Ischia International Architecture Prize

A new partnership will be unveiled at the sixth edition of Ischia International Architecture Prize (PIDA) between the Society of British Interior Design, the standard-bearer organisation to the profession of Interior Design and the only British representative at the European Council Interior Architects & Designers, and TGC (Think Global Consultancy), a young and dynamic English company active in the field of design and architecture.

Thanks to the support of TGC in international business, and the PIDA Association, organisers of the event along with the Order of Architects of the Province of Naples, SBID continues to expand across Europe.

The theme for the awards is the quality in accommodation: The hosts welcome historically rooted vocations of architecture.

Today as in the past, architecture has faced the task of defining the identity of places and spaces of a society undergoing a continuous development of change. It also faces a deeply changed scenario: it has to favour the cultural and civic growth of the occupier whilst retaining the ability to trigger emotions.

Italy is a country that lives on tourism, and a large part of the architecture created in the country is devoted to this field. It is for this reason we examine this subject further and the impact in the quality of life of a civil society.

Through this collaboration, the festival of Architecture in Ischia takes on a new international perspective. The objective is to highlight "the quality of hospitality", exporting the quality of "made in Italy", through culture and entrepreneurship in architecture, in the rest of the world. The ambition is to become the premium destination for the finest Hotels and SPA in the world.

Ischia International Architecture Prize will be held from 8th to 13th July on the beautiful Italian island of Ischia.

Participation in the competition is free of charge.

The Society of British Interior Design will be honoured to offer one year membership to the winners of the Ischia International Architecture Prize (PIDA).
