KBSA welcomes two new Board members

* Richard-Hibbert.jpgThe Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association has announced the appointment of two new Board members in the shape of David Charlton and Richard Hibbert.

Graham Ball, chief executive officer of the KBSA, says: "These voluntary positions are vital to the direction and future of the KBSA. Members on the board help shape policy and keep membership vibrant - it's great to have two new faces and some fresh ideas to help move the association forward."

Dave Charlton, Managing Director of JD Kitchens in Warrington agrees. David has now taken on the North-West region, enthusing: "I can't wait to get started! We've been a longstanding member and seen the difference the KBSA can make to the industry. We've always dedicated ourselves to upholding their high standards and it will be really exciting to be part of the process from the grass roots stage."

Richard Hibbert of The Kitchen Showroom, Suffolk, (pictured) will take on the role as Regional Chair for the North of the Thames/North Home counties region. Trading since the company sold its first bespoke kitchen in 1989, Richard has long been passionate about all aspects of the industry, from training through to service and design. "It's a demanding role being part of the board," he says. "However, it's so vital that people support the organisations that support them. I hope to bring enthusiasm and energy along with me, as well as expertise of course!"

The two new positions will be ratified at the AGM in September.

The KBSA is a national trade association founded 30 years ago to promote excellence within the interiors industry and champion consumer protection. More than 300 retailer members throughout the UK support the KBSA.

KBSA members are dedicated to upholding the association's high standards of design, supply, installation and customer service throughout the interiors industry. All members are carefully vetted prior to admission and they must have been trading for at least two years in order to be considered for membership. All members offer ConsumerCare deposit protection or ConsumerCare Plus, which protects the consumer from payment of the deposit to completion of the contract and includes an insurance backed warranty.

In addition, all members are subject to regular monitoring of their businesses to ensure levels of quality are continually maintained.
